I just put together a packing list for my friend that went on a cruise. Obvious items include clothes, undergarments, etc but make sure you have 1 or 2 fancy dresses for your cruise's formal nights. Also make sure to have the battery charger for your camera or other batteries, charger for your phone if you bring it with you, a power adapter if you need one (you shouldnt on a cruise) but I would suggest bringing an outlet extension since most rooms only have 1 or 2 outlets. Also all the little things for your hair such as ties, bobby pins, straightener/curling iron. Bring cash too - you can put everything on the boat on your room card but you will need cash off the boat.
You can also sneak in your own alcohol since the price on the boats can be crazy. We put vodka and rum in water bottles and then put the water bottles in our shoes. They didnt even check our bags and if they did the worst wouldve been they wouldve thrown it away :) That way we just had to buy mixers for the drinks.
Just some random thoughts...
-at least two swimsuits (I hate having to put on a wet suit if I want to go swimming again before it's dry!)
-plenty of sunscreen (I'm sure they'll charge a fortune for it on the ship)
-IPod and IPod charger
-Dramamine, Pepto, Tylenol/Advil, etc.
-Lots of extra batteries for any electronics you're bringing
-Tampons/pads/etc. even if you're not expecting your period. It would be embarassing/expensive to have to buy that stuff on the ship
Aloe. And my main rule when I go on vacations is to make sure I have meds. I can always buy anything else I forgot, but you can't always get meds.
Here is what I wished I packed: less day clothes (I was in my swimsuits all day and a sundress to cover up - I didn't wear any of my other day clothes), more night clothes (I took three outfits thinking I could rotate, but I wish I had more options), more shoes than flip flop style (I was in so much pain from my flip flops and dressy shoes at the end), PACK ALL MEDICINES (I came down with a bladder infection on the last day - something I get common and have a refillable prescription for - and I didn't take it with me).

We're getting married next weekend and packing for our honeymoon is very much on my mind. I'm so excited that we get this time away together and want to make sure we bring everything we'll want to make the most of enjoying our time. Since we are going on a 7 night cruise, I'm extra aware of wanting to remember everything because chances are, if I forget it the ship either won't have it or it will be way overpriced!
So ladies, if you are married... what are you glad you brought on your honeymoon? What did you wish you had thought of? Those of you who aren't married yet... what's top on your packing list?
