So I’m making homemade crepes for breakfast tomorrow, and I wanted a couple of options on what to stuff them with. I’m open to both savory and sweet options. The only idea I have so far is: nutella, strawberry, banana and candied pecan stuffed crepe. Would love to hear some more ideas!

I wouldn’t put candied pecans in the one you mentioned because nutella, strawberries, and bananas is the perfect combination.

my favourite is just banana and nutella or roll them up with jam… other ideas:
-melt butter and squueze lemon, sprinkle sugar, it all melts together into sugary goodness
-goat cheese, tomato, asparagus
-mushrooms and chicken in cream sauce
-egg, spinach, tomato, pesto
-stewed apples with cinnamon (or any fruit that stews nicely)
-strawberries and whipped cream
-cheese and bacon

@peachacid: thanks for the feedback, but DH loves the crunch of pecans with his crepes. maybe I’ll just put them on the side 🙂

@hopefloats: Blueberries! Make a sort of blueberry sauce. No idea how it’s done, but in the Czech Republic they do it that way and it’s delicious.
Or apricot jam! Yum!

I made a crepe bar last weekend!
- Nutella and whipped cream
- Peanut butter, banana, and honey
- A warm blueberry sauce and cream cheese
- Peaches and mascarpone
- Melted butter and syrup
- Strawberry preserves and chocolate sauce
We didn’t do any savory, but we included a tray of hickery smoked bacon and assorted fruit for people to grab.

I prefer savory crepes. I’ve had bits of chicken and mushrooms in mine.

Lemon and sugar is my all time favorite.
Some days I’ll make a strawberry sauce with fresh strawberries and leave some in chunks in the sauce and pour it inside and all over.

Another vote for lemon juice and sugar! mmmmm. Also love plain nutella crepes.
Savory I like ham, mushroom, and cheese. But I like the sweet ones the best!

Our favorite crepere here in Houston servers s’mores crepes, with marshmallow fluff, melted nutella, and graham cracker crumbs, with dark chocolate drizzled on top. They are divinnnnneee.
They also serve savory Mediterranean crepes, with basil, grape tomatoes, feta, arugula, and a balsamic reduction – those are awesome.

Ooh I love crepes with strawberries and a creamy mixture of cream cheese, cream, and maple syrup/honey. That’s probably my favorite crepe we have ever made.

Cream cheese and fruit…probably one of my favorite combos. Cream cheese is always good with something else that is sweet.

For sweet crepes: banana and nutella, honey walnut, kahlua whipped cream with shaved chocolate.
For savory crepes: butternut squash and sausage with a brown butter sage sauce, bacon with anything
