Weddingbee boards

I really want to do something different than the birdcage and mailbox that a lot of people use to hold their wedding cards. My brother is a woodworker and I know he'd make me anything if i asked him, but i don't know what I want. I really want something that we can use afterwards and not just be something that will eventually be thrown away! any ideas????

could he carve you a nice wooden bowl? like, salad bowl size? my grandma has a wooden salad bowl and i've always wanted one like that, lol.

We are using a treasure chest type box for our Carribean theme wedding. We're going to use it as a memory box after the wedding, and it goes with our decor perfectly.

I also saw a box that looked like a stack of antique books at Walmart, I think, that I thought would make a cute card box

A cute birdhouse you could hang up in your home together?  I saw a couple who had build a model of their (dream?) home and the roof lifted up on a hinge to drop in the cards. A jewelry box you could use again? 

Oohh look at the amazing birdhouses at the very bottom of this page! They are like bird mansions! Now I want one. :)

here's a silly one, it's functional though.  how about a "bread" box?  get it money=bread. :)
