Hello! Am having a hard time trying to figure out what to wear for engagement photos--April, NYC. I like shopbop.com, Club Monaco, Pookie and Sebastian if that gives a sense. Open to suggestions, links, whatever. I'm sure my fiance will be wearing jeans and a button down.
Perhaps heck out what sorts of things other couples have worn in photos by your favourite photographer(s)?
E.g. here is one photographer I like that posts several of his engagement photos online- http://www.jameschristianson.com/ - click on Engaged section. Hrm he used to have more but the new Flash site is a little slow loading for me.
I too would suggest solid colors, and nothing too trendy. You don't want to totally date yourself. So, flattering lines and classic looks are probably best.
Our photographer suggests solid colors (including white or cream), no patterns. He also suggests that colors and style of dress complement. So if your FI is going to wear jeans, perhaps you want to match his level of formality. If he is going to wear a maroon shirt, you don't want to wear yellow, etc. And of course, something comfortable! I don't know if your package includes clothing changes - you might want to have some done in jeans and some a little more dressed up.
