    Hi Bees,

My Fiance and I are having our engagement session tomorrow and after looking over what I was planning on wearing, I realized I can't wear it :(

So, I currently need major help to come up with a new outfit for tomorrow or ideas of where to find clothing that will fit me.  I'm short (5'2") but chubby (ok more than chubby) size 16/18.  The trouble is that if I go to Lane Bryant for clothes, the tops are too loose/big on me and if I go to regular stores the tops are too tight on me.  As for jeans, I'm at that height were petite/short is at times too long on me or too short.  :(

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

Have you tried Old Navy Jeans? I am your size as well. I love the Diva Jeans. They come in short or petite, bootleg and skinny. Love the dark colored ones. You will be amazed by some of the tops too. I can wear the XL from there.

Another jean they have is called the Dreamer, I bought a pair as well and I love how they make my legs look long. I love the classic look of a crisp button down shirt and dark jeans! I have seen that look many times for engagement pics and I love it. Hope this helps!!

That's the problem, I tend to usually wear jeans, sneakers and sweatshirts.  My jeans aren't exactly fitting right and the sweatshirts are rather drab.  I'm not much of a girly girl but I do want to look nice for our engagement session.  I was thinking jeans with a nice top, but need a pair of jeans that look right.  My current ones are fitting too tight or they're sagging.

    Where are the photos?

I've seen really nice engagement photos done outside with the bride wearing  a chic looking black trench (mid thigh length) and jeans

I'm same size as you, maybe a little taller, but I think that is what i'm going to wear.

@ Beesgf - The engagement session is taking place at the Redondo Beach Pier.  I might try that trenchcoat idea.  I have a bright blue one that might look good with jeans and a button down shirt :)

    BTW...you girls are awesome!! :)

My pleasure Yume!! I like the look Beesgf suggested as well. You can do a stylish jacket that has some type of belt or embellishment. I would do something that is mid thigh as well! A pair of comfortable dressy boots so you don't feel awkward.

Try Torrid if you have one in your area. Its a great plus size stores. Also, when are your pictures? will have you time if you order from a website?

Here are some great websites that I love

forever21.com (under faith 21 they carry extended sizes they go up to a size 3x which is an 18 street size)

bandlu.com (just recently bought a dress from there and it rocks)

    torrid.com

Wetseal.com (they have online plus size only)

    www.casual-plus.com
