I brought a strapless bra but the bridal shop gave me a corset type strapless bra to wear so I was more covered. They also offered a crinoline for me to wear but I found it hard to get in and out of the dresses with that on. So I brought a pair of black leggings to wear so I wouldn’t be standing there in my underwear. It just made it alot easier for me.

Def bring a strapless and bra and wear boyshorts or another type of modest underwear.  Some bridals shops didnt offer me anything.  Also, if youre short I’d bring heels similar in size that you think you may wear on the big day.  You appreciate the dress more with a few extra inches.

ETA: I’d leave the spanx at home, only because you don’t really knwo what style dress you’ll end up with

I brought a strapless bra with me although one of the two places also put me in a corset type of bra thing, and i wore nude color victoria secret bikini underware bc i didnt want them staring at my ass in a thong hahaha

I say bring your own bra and corset, because if they have 20 brides try on in the same room and they don’t have a bra….all 20 will use that in house bra and there is no telling the last time it was washed.

You can wear your own with other things in your closet. You’ll need to keep it anyway.

Unless you’re really shy, I say strapless bra and modest underwear should be enough.  The consultants do this everyday and I’m sure they’ve seen it all.  Leggings might be a good idea, but I remember getting VERY warm during my appointments.  Putting on and taking off big dresses for an hour or two is harder than it looks!

I would also recommend making sure you hair is groomed and wear some light make up. Just enough to make you look ‘nice’ in a natural way, but not too much that you’ll get it on the sample dresses.

I would definitely wear a strapless bra and some modest undies. The consultant will be seeing your skivvies, and I wasn’t too keen on someone seeing my booty cheeks so I wore some granny panties that day!

If you don’t have a strapless bra I wouldn’t worry too much. When I went to DB they actually gave me a sample one to use which was nice.

I would also wear comfy clothes and simple shoes that you can slide on and off. If you are going to multiple stores it can get tiring taking everything off and putting it back on.

Good luck!!

I would wear nice undies, spanx as it can really change how you feel about the dress and keeps you more covered, and a strapless bra. Then wear loose comfy clothes over top and bring shoes similar to what you would wear day of. This is what I should have done and then I wouldn’t have all those annoying bra straps in all of my photos 😛  It gets very hot trying on dresses and I so should have just worn a sun dress over a strapless bra store to store. Very tiring

I wore a pair of spanx and a backless strapless bra (one of the reusable adhesive ones), but they gave me a corset bra and crinoline to wear.  The bra was useless because they gave me one, but I recommend the spanx.  I felt better because I wasn’t standing there in my undies (I’m a bit modest) and I didn’t have any unsightly pantylines!

I wore my strapless padded bra and my spanx tight end tights which look like opaque stockings- they suck me in and I was comfortable and covered. It also helped smooth things out for the dresses and I was in and out of the dresses quickly and easily. I’m with the other girls above, I would NOT use the house corset/bra!! Also maybe consider bringing your own high heels that you are comfortable in– they have shoes there, but some of the ones I had to use were kind of odd. Hope that helps! Have fun!!

I wore several different things to my appointments.

I found i was most comfortable in a strapless bra and boy shorts.
