@KDOS:  Definitely wear the height of heels you’re planning on buying for the wedding! Strapless bra if you’re planning that too, and something that’s easy to get out of, like a slip-on sundress. If you’re 100% wearing Spanx for the wedding, I’d wear them or bring them just in case.

Wear something comfortable…clothes that are easy to get in and out of. Take deodorant, shapewear, and bras with you. But most shops have bras for you to try for free, as well. Don’t be nervous. These gals dress people all day long. It’s their job! And a good sales consultant will be able to help you find the absolute best dresses for you. My best advice: don’t be afraid to try dress styles that you thought you were completely opposed to. Try everything. I thought I wanted one thing and one thing only, so the first time I went shopping I came out sooo dissapointed. I went back with an open mind and came out with a TOTALLY different dress than what I thought I wanted. And I couldn’t be happier with what I chose, in the end!

I would add make sure your underwear is light colored. I also second the deodorant, I wish I had taken some with me. Those dresses get hot and I could have used a refresher. Also your bridal size is probably going to be bigger than you expect, my dress size is 12, my wedding dress is a 16. It’s just a number that no one else will know, all that matters is that the dress fits correctly. Good luck and have fun 🙂

You’re going to pretty much be sans-clothing with your dress consultant, so if you’re modest, wear spanx or bike shorts for coverage. I’m not someone who is comfortable being naked with strangers, so I wore spanx shorts and a strapless bra. But most of all- remember to enjoy the experience!

If you go to a boutique, they usually have shapewear, strapless bras, heels for you to use while trying on dresses! I came over prepared for mine…brought my own everything lol

I wore boyshorts so the consultant wouldn’t see me in all my glory and told her so. She said they’re used to people being full on nakey lol so I wouldn’t be too worried
