I have a shower today for my FI’s cousin. The shower will be held at her mother’s house at 12:30. The weather will be 78, chance of showers.
My question is, is it still customary to wear a sundress or skirt to a shower? I ask b/c I just bought a pair of white skinny jeans that I would love to wear with a navy, ruffle-front blouse from Arden B and heels. Is that too casual? (link below)
Another issue is that I also have my two showers this month (my mom and his mom’s in different states), and I don’t have that many sundresses!
Any help is appreciated.

I don’t think there is etiquette about what to wear for a shower – as long as it meets the standard of the party itself, and you are comfortable in it, I think your new outfit will be fine!

You can definitely wear whatever you’re comfortable in! There’s no real etiquette about what to wear!

I would go with the skinny jeans and heels. It sounds dressy enough, and I don’t think you’re going to shock anyone, especially since you seem to be up north. (Now down here in the south, it might require a little more thought lol.) I would save your dresses for your own two showers, especially if you don’t plan on buying anything new.

Go in something comfy. I’m sure you’ll find most of the other guests will be in jeans or nice trousers anyways if there’s such a high percentage of showers! Have fun!
