you dont have to wear 2 dreses, you can wear the dress you want or like and just wear a pashmina, shawl, cardigan or cover up taht matches your dress, and you just take it off after church
Are there any cues in the invite about wardrobe -- black tie? If not, I think you're safe to wear almost anything you want. I would stay away from anything very club-like just because it's a wedding, but that doesn't mean you can't wear something glittery or sexy if you want to.
Since the ceremony is hours and hours before the reception you could totally change if you wanted to, maybe that was even their point in separating them so much.???
Scaled down version of this?

Thank you all!!! Now time to shop.
Naiexoxo: Omg that dress is so me. Do you know where it is from??
yes somethng more conservative for the ceremony.... I am huge fan of fun flashy dresses for NYE... I love sequin dresses for NYE.... check out windsor.com for inspiration!
But i say for the night portion go with a cocktail dress!
@Naiexoxo: LOVING that red dress! That would be perfect for a NYE wedding...or my closet! ;)

Hey all. So even though I am a bride to be, I haven't been to a wedding in 10 years :O My good friends are getting married New Year's Eve at 3pm in a church (I also haven't been in a church in about 10 years) and then having a late night reception from 8pm-2am with lots of dancing & drinks. I have no idea what to wear. What would you do? Should I wear a more conservative dress during the ceremony and then change into something more flashy at night? Outfit suggestion pictures are encouraged!!!!
Thanks in advance
