Has this been done before? I tried doing a search but couldn't find it.
I'd say Lily and Marshall. Except I am the lawyer and he is the teacher. We are a little annoying, both a pretty dorky with bizarre idiosyncrasies, and we are each other's best friend.
Or Chandler and Monica. I am a bit of a control freak and he can be very boyish and immature (in a good way) at times. And he tells lame jokes.
Hmm, this is a fun one. I asked FI and he said "Lily and Marshall of course!"
I was going to say Joey and Pacey but we're nowhere near that dramatic, haha.
Yes! I love Lily and Marshall and Monica and Chandler. They're only my 2 favorite tv couples!
I'd say we're probably more like Monica and Chandler as well. I can also be a control freak and once I start cleaning I don't stop until everything's done, and he's always got the goofy jokes thing going on. Oh, and Chandler's smile during their engagement photos....my guy definitely does that on a regular basis. It's too funny.
Monica and Chandler for us because he always inflects the wrong word in a sentence.. lololololololz... and I try to be a neat freak....
Ummm we're probably most like Dharma and Greg, honestly. He's super smart a little serious, and I'm off the wall silly.
Tom and Jerry.
Lol, actually, I have no idea. It seams like couples on TV always cheat on each other, which makes me nervous, and we no do that.
I'd say we were sort of like Summer and Seth from the OC, besides the cheating parts and the crazy parts. I dunno. Pass!
definitely heathcliff and clare with a bit of george and weezy thrown in for good measure. M is HILARIOUS like heathcliff and george and I try to be a peacemaker all th time.
Can we mix tv couples.. lol.. I can't think of one specific one.. but I think fiance is like Jim from the Office, and I'm like Dharma from dharma and greg.. I took a quiz once and it said we were Peter and Lois from Family Guy.
If I had it my way we would be like Dr. Girlfriend and The Monarch from Venture Bros. Please someone else here be an Adult Swim fan. :P
Jim and Pam!!! My man is uh.mazing, and has the same awesome sense of humor as Jim, and we flow a lot like they do...
excuse my ignorance--we dont' have cable and only watch tv on hulu--who are lilly and marshall?
They're from How I Met Your Mother. One of my favorite shows. Definitely worth checking out!
We're a mix between Francine and Stan (American Dad!) and Lois and Peter (Family Guy). It's hard to choose because we're just a great big jumble of those two couples (without the kids..yet
).
And yes, we are obsessed with those shows

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but who are Clare and Heathcliff?
Ohhh, I get it. I never thought of him as Heathcliff for some reason. Maybe because I always think of him as Bill no matter who he's playing.

I don't know if they count as a television couple, but we are sooo Peter Parker and Mary Jane. Not even kidding.
Well, except that he doesn't have any spider powers. Which is good, seeing as how I'm arachnaphobic...
@crebre, it's my fault! I have a habit of referring to actors as either the first character I saw them as, or their real name. So when I watch Brothers & Sisters, Rebecca is Amy in my head (as in, from Everwood.) Or when I watch anything with Courtney Cox, she's Monica.
I'm just ridiculous that way, and FI does the same thing, so we just egg each other on with that.
We are so Chandler and Monica. He's an OCD dorky control freak and I am too. Actually my friends used to call me Monica because of my neat freaky, organization and cooking obsession. I guess I have found my Chandler! LOL
I think we're kind of Jim and Pam. We were friends for a very long time before we started dating and share the same goofy sense of humor.

During one of the more recent episodes where it talked about how crazy LAME (Lily Aldrin and Marshall Erikson) are when it comes to entertaining, we actually had friends texting us saying "that is SO you"
We are totally Ray and Deborah from "Everybody Love Raymond"...down to the in-laws! FI mom comes from a very large Italian family and is constantly bringing us food and cleaning our apartment while we're at work! We live in the apartment under their house for now, so it may be kind of inevitable! Every time we watch the show I just die because it is so us! LOL
We are most like Turk and Carla.. mostly because we have a J.D. in our lives. My fiancé has lived with his best friend for 6 years and I always joke that we're all going to live together once we're married.
Lily and Marshall are definitely a close second though! I love How I Met Your Mother!
Jim & Pam--we not only share their sense of humor, but working with him/being with him all day made me fall even harder for him. And he had a g/f when he asked me to dinner... that he promptly broke up with right before dinner! (She was kind of a flake and wouldn't return his calls before then, so I don't think he's a cheater or anything, and we were talking for YEARS before this and always good friends!)

Turk and Carla is another good one. I knew there was one I was missing. There is definitely a lot of them in us. We also have a J.D. - his best man and former roommate. We joke that we are going to convert our attic into a room for him.
I'm definitely Monica and he is soooo Chandler. I'm a cleaning freak that is obsessively organized, and he has a wisecrack for everything and is incredibly laid back.
We're Charlie and the waitress from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Ha.
without a doubt, we are dan and roseanne conner. they may not be the most glamorous couple, but no matter how tough times were, they stuck with each other.. except the crappy last season, but no one counts that.
He's definitely Leonard from Big Bang Theory (a scientist too) - but I'm not Penny (I'm a lawyer).
We're not from tv. We're from the movies like my avatar says..Scarlett and Rhett. Passion. A history. A future..and two people who fell in love in the south. I just wish I had Scarlett's teeny waist!! lol!
I'd say we are like Tom and Lynette on Desperate Housewives minus the kiddos of course ;) He is very laid back, will be one of the kids. I'm very businesslike and I know that when we do have kids I'll be the one to discipline.
If I had to pick I'd say monica/chandler... but I'm not as much of a neat freak as she is. He is actually the neat freak! But I am definitely a type-A neurotic and he's pretty goofy :)
When I have kids though, I want to be just like Kitty and Red Foreman. Maybe not have FI turn into Red so much (he is far less hostile)... but I love Kitty as a mom role-model haha
I always joke about being Dharma & Greg. He's a lawyer... I'm the hippy dancing on the couch. lol I bring some fun into his life :)
