Star Trek: The Next Generation. I remember my mom watching this when it was new, and now FI fills the DVR with re-runs. I get that it's a good show, but I'm not impressed. I can tolerate sports but not sci-fi.
Oh gawd!!! Mr H loves Adult Swim too....urgh!! and Family Guy...I can deal with an episode every now & then but he watches it ALL the time...bleh!
I watch Batman, Superman and Spider-Man... and I no think Mrs. Bee likey.
Anything on HGTV drives me crazy... I actually have to leave the house.
I guess it's not a TV show but my fiance loves basketball - the Celtics in particular - and I hate basketball! I honestly am a pretty good girl in regards to sports, I love watching football and the Red Sox but I was brought up on hockey so basketball just bugs me!
He's pretty good with watching great girly TV shows but he HATES america's next top model sooo much. And even moreso the day long marathons that are my favorite! ha
My FI watches the news. But not just once, over and over on different channels. He will watch the same news story 10 times a day. It drives me bananas.
Ok DH and I just started subscribing to Netflix and you can watch complete seasons of tv shows instantly online, so he watches them on tv through his Xbox Live account. It's awesome because I can watch all my silly shows while he's at work, but when he comes home, it's ALL SeaQuest for about 4 or 5 hours. I don't mind cuz I'm usually working on something and minding my business, but then when i want to watch something else with him, he shoots me his puppy dog face and is like "but what about SeaQuest?" I love him, but it drives me crazy. Oh well, he def puts up with more of my tv habits though so I shouldn't really complain :D
He likes to watch Star Trek reruns sometimes and it drives me crazy! He's also been known to watch a little WWE, and I really can't stand that.
Other than that, for the most part, we like all the same shows.
I can't stand all those reality shows on MTV or VH1...especially the Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. My husbands FLOVES them. I try to watch them but all that fake drama gets on my last nerve. Thank goodness we have another TV in the house.
I cannot stand aqua teen hunger force or a lot of the other shows on Adult Swim. Robot Chicken is kinda funny though.
Family Guy was funny the first couple of times I see an episode....but wow...it is on ALL THE TIME and they always play the same ones over and over.
More votes here for Adult Swim & Family Guy. I could easily do without ever seeing another episode of COPS as well!
Oh I love Family Guy and Robot Chicken! LOL My guy would watch ESPN all day if I would let him. When it gets to the point where I've heard the same sports story over and over it's time to change. He also loves to watch Fox News and I cannot stand Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren (really someone should tell that woman to move her lips when she speaks!), and Shawn Hannity. But he hates my silly shows, as he calls them, reality and anything on HGTV. So we usually compromise and watch Food Network, Discovery, or Travel.
We pretty much both like/watch the same shows but he LOVES Seinfield . . i don't mind it in small quantities but when he starts quoting it. . it gets to be alittle too much
@SaraBMarried: LOL! My SO LOVES Seinfeld too! Right now we're on the road for his work and staying in our fifth wheel. The cable at this RV park isn't the best, as far as the picture quality goes. Seinfeld comes on the only channel that isn't COLOR. He is so obsessed that we watch it in black and white! And yes I agree the quoting is a little much...or the fact that I won't know what's going on and he can tell me what the whole episode is about! Just today he said that it is the all-time best tv sitcom. LOL
We actually have very similar TV tastes. The Star Trek complaints crack me up, because we've been watching Star Trek: Voyager online, we went through the first 6 seasons in about 3 weeks, and we've been watching Star Trek movies. I never knew I liked it this much! He loves to watch basketball, but I actually enjoy it, so none of his habits drive me crazy. I bet if we had cable though, instead of antenna tv that things would be MUCH different.
I am the one who watches Adult Swim and he is the one who complains about it. He loves politics, so I got him into South Park. I am also pretty into politics, and he got me hooked on Star Trek TNG. I never really read/watched sci fi before him and I never knew that some of the best political fiction I watched would be in that genre.
We do the separate TVs/computers thing when we do watch TV, so he isn't subjected to much Meatwad or Tim and Eric.
My wonderful FI watches TV shows like "For the Love of Ray J" and "Real World - Brooklyn" and I absolutely cannot stand watching them. I feel like I waste hundreds of brain cells everytime I watch an episode. Although, he only watches shows like that to get a laugh, it is very hard to sit there an watch.
Lol this is funny. We both love Adult Swim, Family Guy and all things Sci-fi 
What drives me nuts is because he works second shift hes alwayes watching daytime talk shows. so everytime i call him when i'm on lunch break he's watching Maury figure out who's baby it is.
He watches a lot of the History channel, but really what he watches the most is cable news networks (CNN, Fox News, etc.). He even figured out how to set our DVR tuner to turn on a specific news network channel every time we turn the TV on! I like to be informed, but after awhile I just can't take it anymore!
He also loves Seinfeld, which I never originally watched when it was on TV and not in syndication. We watch episodes together now. It's fun for him because he loves the show, and actually fun for me because I haven't seen the episodes yet!
The Weather Channel...all the time. The only other person I know who does that is my Grandmother!

I like the shows he watches all except hockey. I don't mind every once in a while, but he can sit and watch hockey all day while I want to be doing something else. Sometimes I can pull him away from the tv, but other times not so much.
My FI *loves* Mad TV for reasons I cannot understand. I thought it was gross and annoying, but my sweetie insisted it was hilarious, couldn't understand why I didn't like it, and would get all sad and pouty when I left the room to do something else while he watched it. I have to admit, I was kind of happy when it got cancelled!

I'm not in a relationship ATM but my ex used to watch Adult Swim, Jackass, and that show with the crank calling....Crank Yankers? Ugh. Having that stuff blaring in the background was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
Now give me some Discovery Channel and I'm ALL good!
We pretty much agree on most shows, the only show that he watches that I don't care for is Top Gear....I find it so boring!
Other then that, it would be sports, I enjoy watching one game at at time, not ALL DAY LONG like my FI likes to do :)
On the other hand he REFUSES to watch The Hills with me :)
My fiance watches 24 and I can't STAND watching that. I find that show so annoying and that jack bauer guys drives me bananas!
Some shows on MTV. Its fantasy something or other. Its dumb! Then there's one where these guys are always doing crazy stunts with drit bikes, monster trucks, lawn mowers. etc n e way we were watching it, and I was not really paying attention, but then I looked up in time to WATCH a guy throw up. It was so grose! and my fiance was just laughing.....
I'm another ATHF fan, but I agree that it's definitely not for everyone :). My FH loves sports, and will watch sportscenter over and over again on the same day because he usually gets distracted part of the way through. I don't mind a little sports... but the same thing more than once?
I guess I owe him one for my soap opera though

But I torture him back with medical shows (he can't stand blood!). HAHA!

I love FRIENDS and he hates that. We compromise with Scrubs, House, Law & Order, Monk, Psych, CSI
Haha FI and I watch Adult Swim together most nights:D
He watches Heroes and Smallville, and I cannot STAND either show. I like dumb reality shows like I love New York or Rock of Love: Bus and he totally hates them.

All the VHI reality shows. Except, I kind of like ray-j so, he is getting me there 
Haha, I had to laugh at this because it's ME watching the shows HE doesn't want to watch. (Now I only watch them when he's not there - I wouldn't want him to do it to me!) But I love trauma shows and discovery health channel shows. The weirder and grosser the episode, the better! He hates it.
You know what else drives me nuts? FI is a channel switcher. He cannot just put something on and leave it. Every commercial break he switches to something else but then gets into whatever is on the new channel... until the next commercial break. We end up watching so many little bits of things but never a full show! Also in AU, there are really only 5 channels of TV (unless you pay over $100 for cable access a month - no thanks) and one of those channels is a TV guide with the same elevator music playing over and over. He ALWAYS leaves it on!
Gahh... he waatches shows on discovery and science channel. i like myth busters but that is it. Oh and trucks and extreme 4x4. Just ot my thing. Ig ot lucky that he enjoys jon and kate plus 8

My fiance LOVES the show "Scrubs". I absolutely can't stand it. I really don't even know why it annoys me, I just know that I can't sit through an entire show without looking at my watch or getting up to work on something else.
I'm sure its me that watches tv shows that drives my fiance crazy...I am in love with the Food Network. My SO doesn't really watch too much tv but he loves to hog the tv playing video games, he can spend hours playing!

My husband watches Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network and I can't stand it. I really don't find Robot Chicken or Aqua Teen Hunger Force funny!
