I'm wearing the same dress! In the store we added an extra slip-on peti coat, and it helped fill it out a lot more. Looked really good, because it seems to kinda "sag" on the bottom with nothing under there.
I recommend hoop skirts for comfort. Crinoline is so hot! I need a hoop skirt to keep myself cooler. I have practiced sitting in it and it does take practice, but it can be done :o)
Ok so I went to a store and tried on both and hoop skirt it is! It made it look to nice and I could breathe under my dress :)
@smcjbullis: how many hoops does your hoopskirt have?
I really like it with the hoop skirt! Maybe I shoudl get one for mine. SO I will 3rd that how many hoops did are there?
The skirt I have on in the picture only has 3 hoops in it. Some lady tried telling me that I needed six but that just seemed ridiculous.
And I'm going to say it again, hoops allows your legs to breath so much more! even without a crinoline underneath my dress I was getting warm, but with the hoop skirt on I was just perfect! I also learned how to sit with a hoop skirt on which really wasn't that hard of a concept at all. Just lift up the back of your dress before you sit. You'll be sitting on the hoops a little but they face downward when you do so your dress doesn't fly up. I love hoops!
i got this same dress and have a 4 hoop skirt with it and looks about the same as yours...
hey i got the allure 8918 and dont know how many hoops skirt should i go with ,, can i anyone help ?? i'm between those 2

ok so I had ordered my dress online because I knew it would work out but now I need to find a good petticoat/slip for under it. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I've been looking on ebay but I don't know what to buy.
My dress is from the Mori Lee Blu Collection. 4816- It has a crinoline slip already built into it, but I'm trying to avoid having my dress lifted because it would cost a pretty penny to lift it only like a quarter to half inch off the ground... So I thought "why not put another slip on underneath it?" I like that it poofs out a bit like a ballroom gown.
I'm trying to avoid hoops because I don't want the dress to fly up when I sit down, but if hoops is what I need, then I guess I'll have to get one with hoops. I've attached pictures of the gown (note: i'm not wearing a bra and the person who help me put it on didn't tie it tight enough so it's a little saggy) and hopefully some of you can help me to decide if i should get a hooped slip, a crinoline slip or any other kind. Suggestions are wonderful! Sharing experiences are too so please ladies help me out!
