I’ve enviously watched your posts for the last month and finally got the courage to join the hive :). Mr. Melba picked out a beautiful engagement ring for me without thought of a wedding band. Any ideas as to what type of wedding band will work with my pear shaped diamond? The ring company went out of business shortly after his purchase. Thanks ladies!

I don’t know much about wedding rings, but a quick question: do you plan to wear both rings together? My wife actually only wears her wedding ring, so this became a moot point after the wedding!

Thank you, Mr. Bee!
I do plan on wearing both. I think I’ve figured out how to attach a picture of the ring now 🙂 I appreciate your answer!

I embedded your pic in the post so it shows up!
One last thought: some brides wear their wedding ring on their left hand, and their engagement ring on the other hand. That can help if the rings don’t stack! 🙂

Well the ring I want is also a pear ring and by designer laurie sara that does custom rings. Here is a picture of a pear wedding ring and band I hope this helps.
Here is the link for the website if you want to view more pictures or inquire about a custom ring. http://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurieSarahDesigns

I have a pear, but the diamond sits so that I’ll be able to wear a band flush against it. Mr. KM didn’t actually think about that, but it happened to work out that way! Are you okay with having a gap? If so, you can pretty much choose any band you want! Or, like Mr. Bee said, if you don’t plan on wearing your engagement ring, it’s pretty much a moo point (like a cows opinion… sorry, that might be the funniest line from friends OF ALL TIME).

you can always have it custom made at a local jeweler so that it sits the way that you want it to…good luck!

I would go with a simple (or with a diamond pattern the same as on your ring) rose gold band to incorporate the middle metal from your engagement ring. The gap will look fine. Or you can wear one or the other on your right hand.

Custom made is the way to go!
Do a google search on custom jewelers near you and go talk to them… Mine is custom made and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! They will know exactly how to help you, they can make anything! You can even have the band formed in the pear shape so that it fits exactly to it if that is what you want! 🙂
Beautiful ring by the way!
