If you’re concerned about chafing, grab some Monistat Chafing Relief Gel. It works wonders. It will totally prevent it.

@Mrsdickinson:  I wore a sexy pair of white lace panties. Although I didn’t have a problem with my legs rubbing I’m assuming you mean your thighs?? I have had that problem in the past and putting baby powder or gold bond powder ALWAYS worked wonders for me. 🙂

I am wearing victoria secret brand thing similar to spanks.  It goes up to under my chest and 3/4 down my thighs.  My top concern in chooosing undergarments was the chafing.  This totally prevents it for me.  I figure if i want to change into something a bit sexier for after the wedding I can have it ready in the hotel room.

I bought some tummy control panties to help with my little “pooch” — took them for a test run the other day and they were SOOOOOO uncomfortable. Thank goodness I tried them ahead of time! I guess I’m back to my typical cotton undies. 😉

@Mrsdickinson:  Runners also swear by Body Glide for chafing, which has worked for me in the past, or on less hot days, a thin layer of deodorant between my thighs.  That was my secret for theatre performances with hot dresses and hot lights.

Try Bodyglide or Monistat. One of my friends actually wore bike shorts under her dress because she hates the feeling of her thighs touching. I wore Spanx, and an off-white pair of cotton panties because OMG SWEAT. Sorry if that’s TMI, but I’d advise saving the pretty stuff until you change clothes.

Biking shorts stop chafing. My bridesmaid also had some chafing balm that came in a deodorant type stick that she said worked wonders.

I’m trying to find some basically normal underwear that also do a bit of belly control.  THe thing is though, I usually wear thongs, but theres a chance I will have my period day of (ugh kill me now) in which case I would want to wear a pad and would need proper underwear.

I considered wearing spanx or similar that go halfway down your thighs like bike shorts, but since I’m wearing a corset on top, I have no idea how I would be able to pee lol.  I need something I can just pull to the side (lol sorry if TMI).

I think I’ll just get some monistat chafing cream.  I bought some bodyglide, but my SIL tried it one day when she wore a skirt and she said it didn’t work and she still got ‘chub rub’.

The Monistat product works wonderfully.  Quick makeup tip…you can also use it as primer under your foundation.  🙂

Monistat chafing gel works wonders- I also saw on a thread here (I can’t remember where or which bee said it, I’m sorry!) someone recommended wearing pettipants~ I think I am going to get a pair for under my dress. You can get them short/long, plain/frilly etc. Seemed like it would be the best option for me!

Instead of buying fancy anti-chafing stuff, I just use my regular deodorant stick on the thighs.  Works for me!  In a real chaffy situation, I’ve also been known to borrow a pair of the man’s boxer briefs.   They are comfy and stop the rub, but you can’t wear anything tight over top.

I haven’t tried them yet, but another bee reccomended “shorts” from thigh society! They look super comfy and serve that exact purpose.
