I have a very similar dress style and I got a catherdral veil to wear with it. It gives it a "dreamy flowy" look.
Ka393, I agree. This dress also cries for a flower in your hair instead, if you've thought of not wearing a veil at the reception.
I think the long veil is great and you need it for pictures! If you can afford it, I think it is one thing no bride should give up on!
I was thinking birdcage or flower in the hair.... what is your venue? Indoor/outdoor, formal, semi-formal?
My venue is indoor - at my church. The wedding itself is semi formal.. I'd like to consider it casual, but we're definately not too casual.
But I will definately be wearing a flower in my hair for the reception. That's the first wedding related purchase I did!
I would do a Cathedral as well, as Ka393 suggested. Do an all plain one though, with no trim or beading.. TRUST me! It will be sooo pretty. I work at a bridal salon and we have one similar as well and its so dreamy with that type of veil.
I think a nice long veil would look beautiful with this dress.
Awesome! Thanks for your help guys. I think next time I get to try on the dress I'm going to try a cathedral veil and hopefully I'll love it so I can have awesome pictures!
I'm so glad you're going to try a cathedral veil! I think it would look perfect with your dress!
Have you tried any veils on yet? I think you should go to the bridal store and try them on so you can get an idea of what you like
@LisaC: The veil that they put on with my dress was an elbow length. Probably sometime this week I'm going to go try on the dress again with some other veils, because I liked the elbow length, but the 'bride jealousy' in me wants beautiful pictures with a cathedral haha.

So I've got the dress, and I've got the shoes - now I just need the veil!
However, I plan on buying one from Etsy, since the Bridal Store I got my dress was SUPER expensive.
Here is my dress:
What type of veil would look best? I think I tried on an elbow length veil, but I'm not sure. I obviously wouldn't mind a cathedral for pictures such as Mrs. Dolphin profiled, but would it suit this dress? It's got rhinestones all down the train (semi cathedral train).
Help me out ladies!
