I think a plain veil with a simple edge that matches the bottom of the overlay on the dress would be nice, similar to the one you are wearing
WOW what a stunning dress. But I disagree I dont think a short veil will look as nice, unless its a birdcage which I already saw you didnt like but if you go with a veil I think one that clips into the back of your hair thats the length of the dress would be very pretty and wouldnt take away from the dress. im not a fan of it being over your head. Now I know you said no birdcage but this is a bit different 
or this option and it can still cover you face coming down the aisle

I'm wearing a veil in the pictures, but it's just one that the sales lady put on. I'm not convinced it's the best.
Our wedding is in FI's parents' backyard so it's pretty casual. I'd say due to this and the style of the dress I'm going for sort of a "hippy chic" look...
Anyway, I would really like to have a veil as it is a classic icon of a bride, but I can't imagine one looking right with the dress. Any ideas? Also, I'm not very interested in a birdcage veil.
