I would start looking at photographers. They book pretty fast and maybe even a DJ if your getting one. The DJ we wanted was booked a year and a half before the persons wedding. I think everything else can wait a couple of months.

Just settled on December 2018! Booked the venue, thinking about photographer and DJ next and then taking a little bit of a break 😉

We booked our cruise, found a wedding planner and will book that soon. Since we’re having a destination wedding really don’t have many vendors to book

I’m November 2018 but we have our venue for both reception and ceremony and our photographer booked! We just had our engagement photos done a couple weeks ago so I’m excited to get those back to use for our save the dates. We also narrowed down our catering choices to like three different caterers and I’m in the process of finding a DJ. Because I live in a super rural area we decided to get married in a near by city and everything books up really fast. We got the absolute last Saturday available in 2018 at our venue so I was glad we started planning early.

My wedding is also a year out and I booked everything but the florist. I’m not sure I want a florist at all. We knew exactly what we wanted so I booked them all (venue, caterer, DJ, photographer, officiant, hairstylist, bartender, and day of coordinator). The most important thing to book first will depend on the time pf the year of your wedding, day of the week and hours. Mine is in the fall and the long weekend (the most popular wedding season in my area) so the venue, caterer, photographer and DJ were pretty much booked a year out.

Venue, photographer, and day of coordinator (they want some sort of wedding day of person, they have a service so they know venue best). I’m talking to a florist. Just invites itself through Minted via black friday sale and postage from Minted from cyber Monday.

Haha! what are you doing in lieu of flowers at all the typical places you would find them? (Bouquets, corsages, boutinniers, altar, aisle, centerpieces, etc)?

We ordered our wedding flowers during the black Friday sale. We’re using sola wood flowers for the bouquet, hair piece and boutonniere. We don’t need many flowers since its a destination wedding. But love the look of Sola flowers.

sweetsweetdee :  they’re flowers made out of tapioca wood. They can be dyed any color and look realistic. You can google them
