I have picked a bridesmaid dress that I am in love with in a color that I also love. We want blue and silver to be our colors and its an outdoor wedding in July. I want blue hydrangeas and stefanotis for my bouquet but considering the bridesmaid dresses are blue I was thinking mostly white roses with some blue hydrangeas and something purple and greenery. Problem is I keep being told by my bridesmaids I need a warm color in their bouquets because it is a summer wedding outside. They think it is too many cool colors. I don’t like yellow and blue combination. I guess something green or pink might be ok but I don’t know of any flowers in those colors.
I am planning my wedding remotely and we don’t have a florist yet so I can’t pick their brain. Would appreciate some help!

all I can think of is sunflowers, but you don’t like yellow! what about a really really light pink? I could see a white pink color combo with this dress.

I think hydrangeas also come in pink. Maybe you could do your bouquet in blue hydrangea with stephanotis and their bouquets in pink hydrangea?
Carnations also come in tons of colors. You could do a pretty bicolor white with pink.

What about orange?
Honestly, with that color I would say maybe an apple green, like peacock colors. I love that combo. Or maybe blue, purple and fuschia with some metallic accents? Gold maybe?
You do not really need a warm color b/c its summer.

That’s such a pretty shade of blue! Honestly though, it’s your wedding (and your FI’s, of course!), and I think you should go with whichever flowers you want. I’ve never really understood the whole seasonal colors thing–I guess it’s fine if you’re picking among a variety of colors that you like equally and some of them happen to “fit” best with a certain season, but otherwise, I say choose the flowers/colors that make you happy. 🙂 (Unless, of course, it’s a budget issue. I know flowers that are in season are usually cheapest, but in terms of colors, I think you should go with whichever you like best!)

When I saw the dress color, the first matching color that came to my mind was: bordeaux! I think it is something betwenn warm and cold – would look stunning with blue!
You could make little bouquets of 3-5 big callas for example and maybe put the hydrangeas to it?

@amariem25: I do like the pink idea but I still would want the white roses and blue hydrangeas to be the focus, so I would need small pink flowers.
@futuremrsreed: I really want the blue hydrangea to stand out so I am not really sure about using another color hydrangea.
@zippylef: Orange wouldn’t be bad but I definitely wouldn’t want it to be the focus, know any small orange flowers or accents?
@Miss International: I love that color! But like all the other color suggestions I would like small accents. My best friend from HS is having her entire wedding around that color, so I wouldn’t want to use too much of it
I totally agree with the comments about not doing things because of the season or the fact that its outdoor but this comment has been made my 3 out of 5 of my bridesmaids so I am contemplating it. I really hate the season or the setting excuse for anything. Thanks for reaffirming that! One of my bridesmaids in particular will not let it go! Outside = brown suits, green dresses…… Not my vision and she doesn’t get it
