I'm trying to think but thinking is not possible right now with my wedding 5 days away.

Can anyone send me ideas of songs that were on your "do not play" list?

cha-cha slide. I know people like it but I think I will throw up if I hear "clap your hands y'all" at my wedding! What was on your do not play list? : wedding music Icon Biggrin

I think it really depends on you but some of the things I've heard at weddings that I don't want in mine include:

Let's Get it On

The Chicken Dance

Any line country dancing

YMCA or Electric Slide (I think people could have just as much fun dancing to "ABC" by the Jackson Five)

But really some of these things you might love so really it depends on your taste.

So far the only thing on our DNPL is anything that has dance (chicken dance, electric slide, etc) and Fleetwood Mac. I just don't like them! LOL

I know it was already said, but whoever decided to play that cha-cha slide song for the first time at a wedding should be taken somewhere and shot. Never have I ever heard a more ridiculously horrific song!

Oooh, good question! I second all the entries above but would also add that Come on Ride the Train song by Quad City DJ's (and for the record, I didn't remember the group- I had to google it!). I cringe when I see uncoordinated people on the dance floor pumping their arms to the 'choo choo!' part. Ugh.

If I hear 'Cotton Eyed Joe' I will walk out. No joke. SO SO SO hate that song.

I wish I could outlaw all 'group' dances but I have a 6 year old niece and 7 year old nephew and I know they would LOVE at least one or two so I'm willing to allow a couple since it would be so fun for them.
