One of my grad school friends who couldn’t attend my wedding was the first to purchase a gift for us – baking sheet, spatulas, and silicone oven mitt. She and I both love to bake 🙂

peonyinlove:  Ours was a £270/$430 cutlery set; couldn’t believe it, it was beyond generous. They bought it the day our list opened, too.

A waffle maker and giant griddle were the first and only items purchased off our registry…and our wedding is in three weeks. And we only but affordable stuff on there. LOL. I had fun playing in the box the giant griddle came in, too. But then I got stuck. It’s all fun and games untils someone gets stuck inside a Macy’s box.

Technically… I have no idea. lol, My mom kept buying us stuff and just giving it to us for a few months in advance, so I cant remember what she first ordered from it. But the first non mom purchased thing was some “Squish” microbead pillows. I love those things! Cant sleep without one now.

No one’s bought anything off my registry yet! I’m getting married in 28 days…

Edit: Holy carp, I just logged in to the registry and saw that apparently since yesterday someone bought us something! The Dyson vaccuum I had on  I wasn’t actually expecting anyone to buy it (it’s $400!!!), I was gonna buy it with gift cards and the registry discount. Wow.

Nails_Polished:  Haha! Awesome! I thought no one had bought anything from our registry when suddenly we got like 10 emails saying things were being purchased (we used Simpleregistry.com, that’s one of their features).

Our first purchase was a Hamilton Bay juicer drom DH’s sister who couldn’t attend the wedding. We use it ALL the time and it’s freaking wonderful.

A toaster! Not the most exciting but needed as ours now only toasts on one side.. Annoyingly won’t get it til February in the bulk delivery but nice to know it’s on the way every time it takes me ten minutes to make toast!!

Our first registry gift was a slow cooker, which FSIL bought for us.  She actually bought it before we had even announced that we had a registry, which was kinda funny.  She was shopping for someone else at BBB (where our registry was) and happened to find our registry.  That was a bit of a surprise to receive 5 months before the wedding.

Our first gift was a tortilla warmer from crate and barrel…really fun 🙂 It came right after we sent out invites, so I was really surprised!

Ours was our set of dishes. They were on a huge sale and we knew FIL and SMIL wanted to get us our dishes, so as soon as we registered for them I sent SMIL a text. She ordered them within an hour, along with a pitcher, tablecloth, some wine glasses, and some other things I don’t remember now. It was so fun to watch things be filled! The funny thing was that people shopped from the registry for my shower, and then almost not at all for the wedding! We received many wonderful and generous gifts, but not from the registry.

So far, no wedding gifts have been purchased, but a few gifts were purchased using our registry for the bridal shower. Pyrex bowls, a set of 10 glass nesting bowls, and a red coffee pot
