Yum! I wanna do more baking however finace and I are trying to scale down on sweets. The last I made banana bread. We go through like a loaf a week for breakfast.

Chocolate chip cookies…yumm!!! They were so warm and chewy- I ate about 5 of them. Oops!

Whole Wheat Raspberry Ricotta Scones, from Smitten Kitchen.

I made them for a family brunch I hosted, and brought the rest to my boyfriend’s house later (this was yesterday). Today I got a couple aww-inducing texts from him:

I mean this in the least selfish way possible, but I wish you’d made more scones. Or maybe I mean that in the most selfish way.

I had two last night while we were talking, and was thinking to myself it’d be nice to have some for breakfast. And somehow none made it to morning.

We blamed it on the scone gnome. He is a silly, silly guy. Needles to say though, the recipe is a keeper.

@Ruby-Redshoes:  I put a creamy peach filling in them.  They look beautiful, but I still need some work on the texture inside.  I tried the Italian technique with hot boiled sugar in the meringue.  Next time I’ll try the more traditional French technique.

Peri Peri Roast chicken

Roast potatoes, roast carrots, cauliflower/broccoli cheese sauce 

For desert sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and icecream mmmm
