Our wedding was 65 mlies, about an hour and a half for a huge portion for our wedding, we invited 150 and like 135-140 came!

But we had the ceremony and reception all in one spot

ETA: I wouldn’t put the ceremony and reception option on the RSVP card. It mayale people feel uncomfortable. But you def do run the risk of low attendance at the ceremony..

Honestly, I think you might get a lot of guests who just attend the reception (I’ve never heard of a anyone just attending the ceremony- even though it might be more special for those getting married usually receptions are more fun).

Maybe you could consider hiring a shuttle to take guests back and forth (maybe guests can meet at the reception site since it is closer and take a shuttle to the church).  Honestly, I probably just wouldn’t care enough if people skip the ceremony.  Those closest to you will be there, and that is really all that matters.  But a shuttle could increase the numbers if you are concerned

I would happily drive the distance, but I’m from the Canadian prairies where people think nothing of driving 2 hours in winter for a wedding. The only people who may have difficulty are the elderly. Just make sure elderly family members have someone to drive them

@FutureMrsT1221:  in that case I personally would just go to the reception.. I know that’s shitty to do but all that driving…

I can’t remember exact numbers anymore, but we were 3 hours away, most people stgayed for the weekend, and we had about 80% attendance.

Although now that I actually read your post I’m not sure that my situation matches yours beacuse our ceremony and reception were at the same location. But I wouldn’t skip someone’s ceremony just beacuse their church was a 45 minute drive.
