Okay, beautiful bees! I am officially less than a year away from the day I marry my best friend, and it is time to start planning our special day! Now because we live in a small town and because church is inexpensive and still very pretty, we are having our light, afternoon reception there. I’m curious to hear about and see what other brides did to dress up their church’s fellowship halls! I’d love to see pictures if you’ve got them!

Mine is coming up as well but I can tell you that my church is a strict church. my flower girl can’t even throw petals and the church will already have their christmas decor but if it wasn’t around christmas, my decorations would be very minimal and conservative. i know that some other churches are not the same at all and brides can do whatever they want.

@brideanjeza: Are you using the fellowship hall for your reception? If so, are you able to dress that up any?
Fortunately, my church is pretty relaxed about decor. I only want to do some pew bows and some florals on the altar, so in the sanctuary it’ll be pretty mild. (My flower girl is definitely throwing petals though!) And the fellowship hall is where I’ll want to decorate the most.
