Never dreamed or planned for one. Only getting married cuz my FI wants to, otherwise I wouldn’t. But I’m planning my wedding as a tea party theme, romantic vintage.

I didn’t have a dream wedding when I was little. I was too busy being….a kid.

I didn’t dream of weddings when I was a little girl.

I was too busy playing monster trucks and army men in the mud.

Distinctly remember writing in my third grade journal that I NEVER wanted to get married. Haha, so my dream wedding was no wedding at all. I guess things change. 🙂

First of all, love your name. ‘Bethany’ has always been a favorite name of mine (but I may be biased)… 😉

The two things I wanted were 1) to be barefoot on the grass 2) a floating balloon canopy (like http://idotimestwo.blogspot.co.uk/2009/05/floating-away-at-altar.html).

We lost the grass venue due to guest restrictions but got a beautiful outdoor venue with unlimited seating for a fraction of the cost. Then the weather took a HOT turn and getting married barefoot on the stage was out. Finally the balloon canopy became a bigger headache than it was worth (and I was already so stressed I just said screw it).

Haha so I ended up NOT getting my ‘dream wedding’… but it was still lovely! I married my extremely handsome, kind, loving best friend and get to spend the rest of my life with him. That’s what I’ll remember from the day, haha not my shoes or the decorations.

“I’m gonna get married when I’m like 30 and a big grownup.”  That was my basic vision.  Even though I fell in love with my now husband at age 17, we got married at 31.  So my dream came true!  🙂

Well of course I would be marrying a prince because I was destined to be a princess. I’d have hundreds of people and the entire ceremony and reception would smell perfumed with thousands of flowers.  I’d have my carriage drawn by dapple grey horses and my jewelry would be pearls because I didn’t like diamonds.

Then I stopped being 7. Then I had a plan for a flower filled reception with big draping bows. When I was 12.

I’ve always wanted everything to smell like flowers!

Never dreamed about my wedding until like, a month before I got engaged 🙂  But our wedding was perfect, exactly what I wanted.

I never wanted to be married.  I was way to much of a tomboy and a geek. Occassionally I’d flirt with the whole Disney wedding thing, but not much.  Soemhow when I met my FI I knew he was the one and the time was right.  Always assumed that a Disney wedding was way out of reach… found out it wasn’t, blissfully happy!

I use to a large ballgown, tiara, horse drawn carriage in a beautiful manor/castle setting. Generally i wanted a large wedding with a huuuge cake. i wanted to be a real princess. Then i wanted a very elegant medieval themed wedding, where i wore a beautiful silk long sleeved gown.

however when i do get married, i will probablly want a very small intimate wedding and a more fitted a-line dress.
