the ceremony-- it was just so very romantic, the way he was looking at me *tear*
Our first look and our ceremony. As I read my vows Mr. started crying. I held it together, but he lost it. Soooo sweet!
our first look and our vows. Lots of fun and emotional moments, but those were the moments it really seemed real!
As soon as I came out of the Bridal suite to walk down the aisle, my brother took my hand and led me to Groomy. The moment I saw him standing there I held my breath. Literally, the entire-way-down.
We got to the end of aisle and the pastor asked, "Who gives this lady to be wed to this man?" My brother placed my hand in Rob's and said tearily, "I do." He kissed me on the forehead, hugged Rob and said, "It's my honor."
We all were crying our eyes out at this point. LOL
Oh and the speeches were hysterical.... Definitely one of my favorite moments. Our best man said, "You know Rob loves you because he spent a long time writing this speech for me." Hahahahahahaha
We had a worship band play 3 songs during our ceremony it was great, so different everyone loved it.
As for the reception there are two things, we danced so much along with our guests, my hubby who doesn't really danced, did almost the whole night and the candy buffet was such a huge hit.. I got such a kick out of watching the room of adults change into squealing children.
So after just reading another thread and feeling a little guilty about not putting the ceremony in as one of my favorite parts I was doing a bit of thinking. And by far the ceremony was one of the most touching and meaningful parts but I am so glad we had someone videotape it. We actually had several people videotape it for some reason and I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking foward to it. For I think both of us the ceremony was very emotional, I cried a bit on the way down the aisle and also as we walked up (because I was happy and touched, there were just so many of our friends and family there) so I think I had a bit of emotional blackout. I remember the ceremony but a lot of the nuances I remembered from the photos Ive seen so far
So I guess what I'm saying is have someone videotape the ceremony even if it's a friend because it is easy to be swept away by emotion during the ceremony.
Between my DH and I we have three children. We did a sand ceremony to show the blending of our family. I loved the fact that our kids could be part of our wedding and that they see themselves as a new family now. That vase with all 5 different colors of sand is one of my biggest treasures!
I loved our first look. I liked the ceremony, but we were both pretty nervous through it and it went by so fast (I'm kicking myself really hard right now for not publishing the words in my album like I had planned so I could remember it - grr). I enjoyed the dancing and spending time with my family I hardly ever see. I LOVED the food and our great band.
Our vows - it was the only time during the whole day when we felt completely alone and together with each other, despite everyone being there.
I loved our ceremony. It really just went by waaay too fast though! When I read it over I thought it would be too long, but it really just zipped by and I kind of regret not making it longer. My other favorite part was right after the ceremony when hubby and I went for a shirt ride around the block in a horse and carriage. We were able to get a few minutes to ourselves and bask in being married. And it was so fun because people driving by would honk and wave even though I have no idea who they are. I felt like a princess! It was so magical. I love my wedding day. *dreamy sigh* Right after the ceremony was over, I jokingly told hubby "lets do it again!" heh
I loved our ceremony...we wrote the entire thing and included a handfasting and I loved every minute of it. Our minister happens to also be a gentleman that we both work with and a friend, and he just kept telling us that he didn't know if he could make it through the ceremony without tearing up!
My second favorite part was when we were announced into the reception hall...the applause and cheers and just the overwhelming surge of love coming at us (along with well wishes) was SO much! It nearly made me cry. That this room was filled to the rim with people who love us and are thrilled to see each of us so happy with someone else...being encores, this was especially meaningful to both of us.
Really the WHOLE day was great! LOL!
There are some great moments listed above!
I have three:
1. After my father gave me away, my husband hugged me, then KISSED me before the ceremony even started! The priest said: "I didn't say you could kiss the bride!" I will never forget that moment.
2. The limo ride from our church to our venue. It is literally a mile down the road, so our limo driver took the "long way back." We drank champagne and drove through rural NH with tons of foliage. It was a special 20 or so minutes where we recapped what happened - and, it was our only time alone all day until the end of the night!
3. Dance dance dance. We had one hell of a dance party!
Our ceremony rocked. It was so unique; I never heard anything else like it and I never saw a bride dressed like me. The happiness and LOVE vibes were amazing!

With all the people who have gotten married recently I thought I'd see what everyone loved most about their own wedding.
So I have a lot of favorite parts. But right now the ones that are sticking out in my mind are that we did a first look so got to be with each other before the ceremony and feel calm that we were both happy. The first picture is us getting pictures before the ceremony.
And another favorite was all the dancing! People really danced a lot and my husband and I aren't always the biggest dancers but we had no qualms about dancing for our wedding and it was a ton of fun.
How about everyone else?
