How am I not surprised your favorite post is one YOU started? 😉

In all seriousness though, I think my personal favorite was the infamous 200k tiara…I don’t want to go into too much detail because i’m sure it’s an invitation to shut your thread down, since we’re not supposed to “start other posts discussing past drama”, but if we’re all honest, those are the most memorable/entertaining ones.

I love that sort of thread! You can’t beat going off on an ever wilder tangent!

I loved the one from a couple of years ago about the woman whose coworkers were getting her a goat/goats for a wedding gift and it started to spread to the other guests. Please no more goats!

I liked some of the oldies but goodies:

-pot roast lady –that one goes wayyyy back to when I first lurked/joined

-some of the posts around the last US Presidential election got crazy, as did one about eating Chik Fil A

– the girl who wanted to get married under a tree with no chairs for anyone to sit in, among other crazy things.

…but my favorite probably was one a year or two ago about a hypothetical situation where your dog is drowning and a human is drowning– which would you save?  I think it was a spin off of another thread where someone actually mentioned they would save their dog over a kid they were babysitting or something like that.  It got HEATED,  even prompted one prominent member to deactivate her account.

iarebridezilla:  I was just teasing you.  Also, your OP said “favorite to read or participate in”, which to me implied somone else’s thread.  The one you talked about sounds hilarious, though!

I actually have several favorite old threads:

Lolot’s recap because GORGEOUS.

I don’t even remember who, but it was WAYYYY back before I was TTC and I saw a birth story that included photos of a home water birth (all tasteful, nothing NSFW or anything) and I just fell in love with the idea of water birth and birth stories in general.

Ok, I love all birth stories 🙂

I especially liked the one that resulted in a vaganus hahahaha. 😛

One of my fave dramz threads was about the chick who wanted to have her wedding in a park and serve no food other than candy, and barefoot dance in the clay and have people drink from a water hose or something.  She was a very dramatic Bee anyway, but that particular thread got everyone in a huffy and it was highly entertaining.

DaneLady:  WHAT?!  That last one sounds hilarious.  Maybe if I could rig the hose to have wine instead of water or something…

I have loved some of the beautiful recaps I’ve seen over time, but I’m a sucker for a sensible thread. I bookmarked this thread the day I found it, because I learned so much.

The woman whose FI took trip to CA for a wedding without her knowledge. I felt bad for her, but such mystery!

Wasn’t there something about the “american internet”…. Get off the american internet! ….or something like that. That one was particularly amusing. The details escape me. But it stands out in my head a lot.
