My husband and I both agree that, while we love and appreciate all our gifts (from the custom artisan handcrafted wooden serving bowl from my dad’s former boss all the way down to our photo books from coworkers), our favorite gift BY FAR is the Queen Anne chairs that one of my former coworkers MADE for us. She re-finished them in shiny black lacquer, re-covered in gorgeous black velvet, and made throwpillows out of fabric with country skeletons on them.
So ladies and gents, what was your favorite gift?

I’d be interested in hearing from some of you married bees out there.

We only got maybe 3 actual gifts, the rest was cash. So if I’m being honest, my favourite gift was the $1500 cheque my step-grand parents gave us 😉 otherwise we got a nice set of antique silverware from my dad.

@s2bmrscook: we use our china everyday. it’s so beautiful and of good quality. we get a lot of use out of our baking pans and cooling rack too. oh! and the dining room table cloth. we received lots of money and gift cards too. we still have gift cards that i will probably use soon. we could use some new throw pillows and curtains.

I know it’s not an exciting gift, but we registered for good quality kitchen utensils (heat-proof spatulas, ladle, etc.). I use them almost every single day and they’ve held up well so far. Also, I think my guests enjoyed having some gifts that didn’t cost over $50/piece on the registry.

@TaurianDoll: I’m so excited to use our gift cards! Hub said I can use all the bed bath and beyond cards toward a kitchenaid stand mixer!
