I did the calligraphy on the envelopes of our STDs first.  My second one was to begin making masquerade masks as decorations and favors for the reception.

My first DIY things were the save-the-dates and a couple of the wedding party things (I’m getting them gradually to save money by using deals and so it’s all at once).  STDs were really successful, but I don’t know what to do next either!  Is it too soon to do more??  I don’t know, but it’s fun 🙂

I made silk rose petal runners for the aisle, they look better in person but here is a picture (FYI if you do this use a spray glue and drop the petals on, i hot glued each to the tulle!! it took forever and i burnt myself like a million times)

Then i made wands (to use instead of bubbles or rice, i re-did theses three times! And i still have to add the tag that says “Thank you” this will be our thank you favors):

THen i made hangers for my bridesmaids and me to hang our dresses:

I have more but those are the first three i did 🙂 Good Luck with your DIY projects!!!

I too am attempting to do the hangers!!  That’s my first DIY.  I’ve been looking at online tutorials and am practicing.  It’s a lttle complicated but doable!  🙂

It’s pretty easy and I’m not super crafty.  I shaped the  letters with my hands and only used the jewelry pliers for the tricky parts.

@NJmeetsBXYou did a good job!  I’m trying to get the whole Mrs.XXXX so it’s a little tricky.

@hthesken I’ve seen some bees personalizing their tissues, which I think is a great idea!

@hthesken:My wedding is not for a long while but my first project that I am currently working on is to fold 1001 origami cranes. I am at 600. Next I will be making 150 kusudama fllowers and then my wish tree tags.
