Hah…I’m a bit of the opposite! Not that I’m a huge night owl, but it took me a while to go to bed at a reasonable time with him! Also…when we do go to bed, he totally shuts off and is asleep in seconds. Meanwhile, I decompress from the day and think about everything I did and what I need to do tomorrow. So I’m trying to talk his ear off and he’s trying to fall asleep.

My FI takes the world’s longest showers.  It’s a little ridiculous.

we’re never on the same sleep schedule, and at first, it used to bother me that he wouldn’t come to bed at the same time as I would, but honestly, it’s his choice, he doesn’t have to synch up his sleeping rhythm to mine. what DOES bother me is that he takes his socks wherever and just leaves them lying there. the floor, the couch, wherever. Also, we have two big laundry hampers in the bathroom, but somehow his clothes are ALWAYS on the bathroom floor and never in the hamper. these are petty little things and we’ve lived together for a while, but he could never change the habit and I will never understand it.

My FI was pretty easy to adjust living with.. I am sure it drives him insane that i always forget to close the cupboads in the kitchen. He will walk in and all of them are open lol

I moved in w my bf a year ago and it was hard to adjust to the small space (we live in a studio).  I am not the neatest person and it drives him nuts that I will sit on the couch with tons of clothes all around me and not be bothered.  Other than that, it has only really been little things. Again, this is why livng with someone before marriage is a good idea!!

Well, we’ve lived together a while now but the biggest annoyance was and still is the way he stands over me while I’m cooking saying things like “Don’t you want to do this….can you put some of this in……ooooh there’s not a lot there, can’t you add some more? etc etc” grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol. Oh and the fact he can’t put anything in the laundry basket haha.

Honestly, the hardest was that I LOVE my alone time, and FI just wants to do everything together… all the time…

We’ve lived together for years, but I remember one of the first things that bugged me was how not prepared he was for living with people not related to him. His mom has always been a SAHM so she literally did everything – laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. Then the man moved in with me and I tried to tackle as much of that as I could but I was working FT and going to school FT. He missed always having clean clothes, homecooked meals, and a made bed. It was bumpy at first but now he’s much better at helping out and our chorse are divided.

Him leaving his dirty socks everywhere! Then he will also throw his clean laundry on the floor! Drives me bonkers!
