I am completely convinced that most people have some sort of “Oh Shit, I’m getting married moment” after they get engaged. For me, it was today – 13 months before the wedding, 11 months after we got engaged, and 4 months after booking our venue. What caused this moment you may ask? Why booking our DJ, Photographer, and Photobooth company of course. . . all at once and from the same company. Having the last of the big ticket items settled all at once was kind of shocking for me.
So I want to know, what sort of moment have you had recently that really drove home the point that you are getting married? Or having a baby? Or buying a home? Or pretty much anything else you can think of. Share with me!

I think for me it wasn’t actually until we got our first RSVP back. It was like OMG this is really happening and people are coming!! lol
Ok I have to ask…WHAT is that picture of?

Anytime I put on my wedding dress, and especially at my final fitting!

MrsTtoB: Lol! It’s a car driving off a cliff.
TaraMay_: I bet that a lot of people have that same feeling. I’ll have to see if it happens to me when I get my fitting done next year.

10 min before I had to walk down the aisle.
For the baby it was when I got my BFP and then again when I had to leave the hospital lol.

TaraMay_: When I put on my dress, it reminds me I need to stop eating.
LoggerHead91207: For some reason, sending out the invites was my “oh shit” moment, but in a good way!

For me it was like 5 minutes before the ceremony! Right when we started getting lined up to walk down the aisle and especially when it was just my dad and I waiting for Canon in D to start. It wasn’t a bad feeling though, just kind of like OMG how is this really happening aha

For me, it was registering. Silly, I know, but when we first got engaged we never made it that far before DH called it off. When we worked through our issues and got reengaged, it was the first step we took that we hadn’t already done before (i.e venue tours, guest list, etc.).

I’m kinda living it now, but I’m sure it will be worse right before the wedding. I am terrified of being the center of attention and of going through such an intimate moment in font of 75 people. ButI wwasn’t thinking about that when I kept inviting everyone. I was thinking about the reception!

When I was having a hair trial a few weeks ago. It all settled in at once and I screamed out, “Holy fuck, this is for my wedding.” My hairstylist thought it was hilarious.

When music started playing for the bridal party to walk down the aisle, I couldnt help myself and started crying like a little baby!

My husband and I were married via JoP in our home, and we later had the big white wedding. So I didn’t have RSVPs for the actual marriage. It hit me immediately after I said my vows. It was kind of this washing feeling over me… not a bad feeling, not a good feeling, it was just a “Holy shit, you just changed your life forever.” kind of feeling.

We sent out our Save the Dates on Tuesday this week. As I dropped them in the mailbox, I realized things finally felt REAL and SOON. (We’ve been engaged two years already)

When I started to get emails and voice messages from different vendors. Booking the venue and getting the church wasn’t a big deal, but the minute I started listening to those messages I started to break out into a cold sweat. 1 year left till walk dowN the aisle, I expect many more oh sh*t moments.
