I'm sure there are other posts like this on here, but there are some new bees now and I might get some new numbers.  :)

Also, I'm a sucker for pictures, so post them if you have them!  I haven't found my dress yet, otherwise I'd be posting mine as well.

Lol I must be in a dress mood (or the 'bee is) because I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've posted my dress today! My budget was $1000 and I spent $800 on my dress. With alterations I'll probably be just about at my limit. What was/is your dress budget? : wedding dress budget Front.small

I found my dress a couple weekends ago, and I have an appointment to put the deposit down this weekend. It's a little over $750...and gorgeous! I'll post a pic after my appointment, it's definitely doable!

My originaly budget was $1500, but we ended up spending $1750.  Here is my lovely (although it is posted on about a million other threads):

I can't wait until I can go pick her up...probably not until February though Frown  And even then I think I'm keeping her at fi's family's house so I'm not tempted to prance around in it on a daily basis, lol (and we have too many pets to feet safe)

I voted Unsure because we didn't have an official budget.  I could spend as much as I wanted, provided that I absolutely loved the dress.  I was contemplating the $4,500 Jim Hjelm for a big wedding next year, but we ended up eloping and I wore a $450 dress.

My budget was $1500 and I found my dress for $850, so I came in under budget even with alterations and all my accessories!

I wanted to spend under $700.

    Spent $250 for this dress:

and $250 for alterations (remove skirt and reattach w/ hook&eyes, create sweetheart neckline, taken in on sides and lace reworked, cups added, second skirt made)

My budget was 3,000 and I ended up spending $5,200. I found a dress I loved for $4,200 but wanted to add to it and instead had a custom gown made by Rivini based on a a dress that was in the current collectiong.

For the dress only, I chose under $500. I wanted to find something for about $300 but I figured it was unrealistic. However, I did get my dress for $350, so not bad. That doesn't include alterations or shoes/bra/veil/etc.

Our prelim budget is $2k-$5k. The dress I currently love is $3,500 but I just started looking. (And obviously if I find something under $2k that is perfect, that will be the dress.)

I wanted to come in under 2K, and I did, with the cathedral length veil included! Alterations will probably push me slightly over that, though.

I actually had my dress budget at around $400, but I'm getting it custom made for $550. Thankfully, my aunt has offered to pay for it.

I expected to spend around 1500, but ended up buying a sample for under $900. I haven't done alternations yet though, so the total will be more.

I was willing to spend up to $4K for my dress. But in the end, I realized that I couldn't spend that much on a dress I'd wear one day. I felt really guilty over it (although, to this day, I still sometimes wonder what it would have been like to get the amazing dream dress).

I ended up being a two dress bride. The first dress I bought was an impulse buy. I was considering buying the dress at a local boutique, and found it used at a resale shop, and I thought it was meant to be because it fit perfectly. Deep down, I didn't really like the dress, and I ended up purchasing a knee-length dress for $270. So total on the two dresses, I spent just over $1,100.

I love all of your dresses, ladies!  I can't wait until I have my own to post.

I'm also slightly surprized that most of the votes are in the $501-$1000 range.  I would have expected higher than that.

    Keep the pictures coming!  :)

I started out with a $2K budget, but wasn't impressed with anything in that range I tried on. I ended up wearing two dresses, $4000 and $3600. I kinda wish I'd set my budget as $8K from the start and allowed myself to look at all designers. I made it more difficult on myself than it needed to be by being stingy.

My budget was $800 with alterations, then I bumped it to $1300 because I couldn't find anything I really loved. I ended up getting my dress for $958, though that doesn't include my veil, accessories, shoes, or alterations. Combined I should be right at the $1,500 mark :-].

My budget was $2500, we got just under $2000 w/ 10% off, no sales tax, and having it delivered to my house. I went out of state to try on dresses.

Before I ever stepped foot in a dress store, I was sure I could find something for under $1000....then I went to a few bridal salons and found that there werent many options in that price range and if there were..I didnt like them!  I ended up spending $3000.

My budget was $1000 but I found this for $1258 and the only alteration that has to be done is a bustle so it wasn't too far over budget.

I was lucky to not have a budget.  My dress after alterations came to somewhere just over $7,000.

I have slacked on our wedding photos so these are just the proofs unretouched, but you get the idea.

I was insanely lucky and got my dress as a sample for $249 (and the gown shop paid for alterations). It is a new Mori Lee Voyage style that retails for about $500 regularly (I received the test piece that was made before they put the line into production). I am sure I will be spending more than that on my accessories (total right now on accessories is $170, without shoes/veil/bracelet/earrings)

I don't have my actual dress, because it's being designed for me by a friend.  But here's initial sketch!  The front will be the same, the back will be almost the same but with more of a scoop neck.  I'm paying her $1000, including materials.

oh and p.s.: The lines you see are all seams where different pieces of material are joined. The darker ones will have very thin irridescent blue piping. The skirts are layered, with one emerging from the next. Kind of hard to explain.

My dress budget was $200, and I am so happy I was able to stick to it. It will have to have some alterations, and I bought it used, but I love it! Here are pictures of it on its previous owner. The bolero was included in the $200 too.

My budget was anywhere from $500-$2000, but I knew to spend over $1000 I'd have to REALLLY love the dress. haha.

I ended up finding my dress for $740, and my parents paid $200 of it. I bought it on consignment and it fit me sooo perfectly that the only "alteration" I had to pay for was to had it bustled.
