At the moment we’re having Christina Perri ‘a thousand years’, but the wedding is just under 16 months away so might change our minds before then.

@iloverocks:  Hallarte a ti, by Santiago Benavides. It means “find you”, I am so in love with the song:

When I look at you someday
and in your eyes and in your hands
can see that, as they say,
time is not wasted
when one day in your arms
our children become dormant
and we meet
At the table

When one day we
sit side by side
and apologize to the other
and surrender and embrace
when good winds blow
Of health and provision
or when Prayer is all that is left

I will remember this moment
I will remember that in love
I swore to give you my love and care
I will remember and be happy
because I know that being here
was the best thing that happened:
To find you.

When that hour arrives
inventories start
of the route traveled
the years walked
and kneeling before God and
The nostalgia and joy
dress in gratitude
In praise and poetry

I will remember this moment
I will remember that love
I swore to give you my love and care
I will remember and be happy
because I know that being here
was the best thing that happened:
To find you.

This is the translation from spanish 😀

Our Love is Here to Stay – the version by Frank Sinatra (has the tempo and length we like best even though the Ella Fitzgerald version is our favorite – but too hard to dance to)

How Do I Live by Trisha Yearwood, it has been “our song” for almost our entire relationship!

How do I get through one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kind of life would that be
Oh and I, I need you in my arms
Need you to hold
You’re my world, my heart, my soul
If you ever leave
Baby, you would take away everything good in my life

Without you there’d be no sun in my sky
There would be no love in my life
There’d be no world left for me
And I, baby I don’t know what I would do
I’d be lost if I lost you
If you ever leave
Baby, you would take away everything real in my life
And tell me now

How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive
How do I, how do I
Oh, how do I live

If you ever leave
Baby, you would take away everything
Need you with me
Baby, ’cause you know that you’re everything good in my life
And tell me now

How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breathe without you
If you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive
How do I, how do I
Oh, how do I live
How do I live
Without you baby

Probably will be “our” song…..’Stand By Me’. But I love all the oldies. I am a big Sinatra and Fitzgerald fan! I know what song will be played at my funeral…is that weird?

“Then” – Brad Paisley. We both love country and this song describes us perfectly!

Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

It is my favourite song of all time; the first night we hung out together alone, he played it for me on his guitar. He then went on vacation the next day, and heard the song everywhere he went on the radio, and couldn’t stop thinking of me.  He came back a week later, and we officially got together.  4 years later, he played/sang it to me and then got down on one knee. 🙂 So it’s very fitting!

We are not sure if we will have traditional first dance- we may be only doing dinner reception with cake cutting but we will be sure to have one in our hotel room at very least( both so shy) and it will be “our” song- Tender by Blur

We officially danced to Soulmates by Josh Turner.

Not my absolute favorite, but we compromised 🙂

My favorite was one of those rare gems that was similar to our processional. But I’m not willing to share.
