After dealing with the drama of one of my external hard drives crashing, I’ve decided to procrastinate from going through the stack of readings for grad school on my desk and do something easy on the brain – like stamping the return address on our Save-the-Date envelopes that came this morning!! WOOOO!!! Scary how excited I was when I saw the package on the door lol.
So what wedding-related tasks are you all doing today?

I fiddled with the wedding website and got a price quote for our wedding invitations.

TheGorgonMedusa: We were going to have a big wedding in July 2015, so this time last week we were working on Save the Dates. That wedding has since been cancelled (Due to many reasons). Now we’re eloping on Nov 8th!! Yayyyy!! We’re picking the most awesome outfits to wear that night. I’m trying to find something Northern Fall-ish. Everything else the Chapel already has taken care of.

Researching honeymoon destinations (have narrowed it down to a couple)! & Deciding on BM dresses! Went with my girls last weekend, have been having the hardest time picking the “right” one!

- Wedding: June 2015 - Thorpewood
Scheduling my makeup trial, working on gathering addresses for guests, and probably general pinterest-ing for ideas. 🙂

MissOtter31: haha “general pinterest-ing” I feel like that has definitely become part of my nightly routine.

I called and set up a tasting with the caterer we like today! I’ve also been looking at pictures of bouquets and bouts to send to a potential florist.

My DIY silk rose petal aisle runner sides! It’s taking forever and is so boring, but it looks good! Also not sure if it’s entirely wedding related but going to the gym tonight.

I had a major wedding-esque day today! Picked up my dress from the cleaners (it’s second-hand so needed a bit of spot cleaning), met with our reception decorator, found a table centres at a dollar store (I felt so bad purchasing 50 glass candle holders and 20 vases!).
I’m actually starting to feel like a bride 🙂

Today, we are hoping to go get our marriage license. We have been delayed the last couple of weeks due to one of FI’s co-workers being gone for her wedding over a week ago, and then has been sick most of this week so he is unable to leave early. But, hopefully she’s back today and we can go get it done.
Oh, we are also meeting with our reception venue to make our final payment and finalize all of the details. I’m excited for this cos it’ll be done!!
Once we’re home from that, I am going to work on finishing the ring bearer box. It’s not what I envisioned (based on what I had seen online), but FI picked out what to put on it for our initials, so I am fine with him wanting to have an input.
We also need to email the band to give them our list of songs for first dance, parent dance, band breaks and dollar dance. I am hoping that they can accomodate for everything we want to hear, outside of what they play.
9 days to go!!

I am probably going to look for officiants. I contacted a few but haven’t heard from them yet, so I will probably continue to look.
