Who is in charge of food while you are geting ready? Both you and FI will need to eat, and may be too busy to fix/get food for yourself.

If you are doing photos at your venue before your ceremony, what will you do with guests who arrive early? Most of our guests were way early and saw us doinf family photos. It wasn’t a big deal to me, because I didn’t care if everyone saw me beforehand, but this would have been an issue for many brides.

Who is in charge of taking down and boxing up all of your decor after the night is done? Will they leave it in a pile for you? Load it in a car and take it somewhere? If so, where will it go, and how will it get back to you? Same for gifts and cards, your veil, bouquet, etc.

Who will make you a doggie bag to take back to your hotel room? You will be hungry and want more food. Trust me.

If you are doing the traditional reception entrance, who will be responsible for rounding up and organizing the parents and bridal party members? Do you have a designated assembly area? Do they know when to be at the assembly area?

Does the bridal party know when and where to meet for hair and make-up? Do they know when and where the bridal party photos will be taken?

Do all family members know when and where family photos will be taken? Who is in charge of tracking down those who are MIA?

Is there an alternate route to your venue(s), just in case there is a big accident blocking your way there? If there is only one way in, make sure your guests know to allow themselves plenty of time for traffic delays. You just never know.

Keep up your fluids and food while you’re getting ready, and make sure there is someone around at all times with a water bottle. I’ve been to a few weddings where the bride and bridesmaids have started to wilt after hours and hours of primping and photography and a bottle of water is usually all they need to get going again 🙂

Make sure that, back in your hotel room, you’ve got some mints and aspirin to help you feel a bit fresher at the end of the night/the next morning!

Also, get a nice hanger for your dress – the photographer will take a few picks of it before you put it on, and you want it looking its best. On the same note, make sure your wedding shoes are clean and the room you’re getting prepared in doesn’t have any socks or knickers lying around 🙂

Amazing.  Let me try and see if I have answers to a few of these:

Who is in charge of food while you are getting ready? Planning to just have an order of assorted breakfast type item buffet style at my house as we get ready.

Who is in charge of taking down and boxing up all of your decor after the night is done? Not sure… gotta talk to the venue about this. But I will have my day of helper: just need to see if I can leave stuff at the venue overnight.

Gifts and cards, your veil, bouquet, etc are coming with me. LOL

Who will make you a doggie bag to take back to your hotel room? Having the catere pack up any extra food in storage conatianers for us to take with us.

If you are doing the traditional reception entrance, who will be responsible for rounding up and organizing the parents and bridal party members? The day of helper I hope and me.  We’ll practice all this the day before.

Does the bridal party know when and where to meet for hair and make-up? They are reponsible for their own hair and makeup and will have a designated time to meet at my home for finishing touches and getting ready pics.

Do all family members know when and where family photos will be taken? Who is in charge of tracking down those who are MIA?  Not sure about this… will have to work it all out with one of my bridesmaids.  I figure we’ll do pics before the ceremony and also right after.

Is there an alternate route to your venue(s), just in case there is a big accident blocking your way there? Yes but I am not sur ehow to print that out or even give directions that way. LOL

@lovekiss:  Ohh that doogie bag idea was brilliant! I am going to make sure one of the BMs steals me some food for later if the venue isn’t going to do it (they are in charge of food as well).

Make sure that everyone is on the same page for the day-of-schedule — make sure your FI, mom, MIL, DOC (if you have one) all have the same document and understanding of the details.

Pee right before you put on your dress!!  have a bridesmaid remind you, because in all of the excitement (and nerves) you’ll forget.

Make sure if you need bridal party to stay afterward to help break everything down that they know beforehand so they don’t accidentally leave with everybody else

Make a list of the photos that you want, because you’ll forget to ask for a lot of them (for example if you want a shot of everybodies shoes, a shot with this specific person, a shot where everybody blows a kiss, whatever!)
