I cant believe Im posting to the baby board! I've been feeling a bit strange since I returned from a trip half way around the world. Im not sure if my body is just trying to adjust to the time difference or if I may be... pregnant. We're not ttc right now, just had a little fun on vacation and now Im wondering why I feel so strange. I have an annual appt this coming Monday- but before I freak myself out too much- Im curious what some of your earliest symptoms were. Please share!

My jawline broke out, I became WAY sensitive to smells, and I'd get exhausted around 4 pm each day. Also I was sometimes a super bitch, but who knows if I can really blame that on being pregnant.

Hmmm, for me I was really tired. Then about a week and a half later the nausea hit/very sensitive to smells (ick!). Finally the sore breasts.. which were also an ick. My morning sickness lasted until about 15 or 16 weeks. After that? Smooth sailing :)

Similar to PMS for me: cranky, tired, big tender boobs.  Then the puking started and it was a dead giveaway.

Thanks for the responses!! Lately Ive been feeling a bit dizzy and nauseous with a lack of appetite. Ive had a runny nose and been sneezing a lot. I had a little bit of cramping yesterday which was kind of strange, and Ive been oh so tired. So far I havent noticed anything abnormal about my boobs- for where I am in my cycle at least. Ive also been really bloated, but I have some stomach issues- so Im not sure if its just that talking. Today really got me wondering because Ive come down with a (TMI) yeast infection- which is really weird for me. Im thinking Im either pregnant or have realllly bad jet lag from my trip! Just a little nervous- because "baby" wasnt on the menu until 2012!!

I only had 2 symptoms before my 3rd trimester. My areolas became HUGE (I totally miss my pre-pregnant nipples), and I broke out in crazy itchy hives from head-to-toe for 2 weeks! If I hadn't taken a pregnancy test though, I definitely wouldn't have known I was pregnant.

My sense of smell was incredible, I felt like I had a super power. My period wasn't even late and I could smell everthing all the time!

I was tracking my temperature etc... so I was paying pretty close attention to dates and ovulation etc... but the first clue was that my period was 2 days late (and I'm like clockwork - never late) and other than that I had PMS symptoms - I just felt like I was about to get my period any second.  At this point I was only about 4 weeks along.  I didn't get a real 'pregnancy' symptoms until a couple weeks later and even then, and still, they've been pretty subtle with very little suffering on my part, thank goodness!

Let us know what you find out (either by taking a test at home or at the doctor!)

i felt just like i was going to get my period - mild cramping, sore boobs, emotional. the one thing that was noticeably different was that i was extremely TIRED. the weekend before i found out, i slept like 14 hours every night and was still groggy. all those symptoms continued through the week my period was due, then a week or two after i started having even sorer boobs, morning sickness, and smell sensitivity. good luck!

@Arancia: Maybe too much to ask, but when are you due for AF?

Im starting to think Im just fighting a bug of some sort- my period is due on the 11th-ish. Today I have mild cramping, but I usually experience that a week or sometimes 2 before I get my period. I'll let my doc check me out- seems an at home test wouldnt be accurate this early on?

I'd say that unless you last period was actually implantation bleeding, there's not a great chance that you are pregnant if your period is that far away.

@crayfish- Thats what I was thinking. Im just feeling really bizarre, but it must be a bad case of jet lag, and perhaps I caught a little bug on one of my flights too.

Here's how I knew: I bowled my two best games of this season. I bowled two over 200 games when I was pregnant with Moose, so it just seemed obvious to me. No, that doesn't help anyone else, but it's a really funny story because it was a week before my period was due.

@Arancia: Maybe. Wii bowling is really awesome, especially 100 pin bowling. Tried that? I bowl on a league with my Grandma and while pregnant with Moose, my average rose 30 pins. It just seemed obvious when I bowled well for the first time this season that I was pregnant. However, my bowling isn't as good as it was last year.

I had some slight cramping similar to period cramps the day I took a postive test. I was EXTREMELY tired (I could easily sleep 10 hours at a time) for the whole first trimester. I was sensitive to smells and things I usually liked (garlic pasta!) made me want to get sick!

I had a couple of the normal symptoms- cramping but no period, nauseated, slightly (but NOT dramatically) sore boobs. The two main symptoms though that really stood out to me were 1. I was ridiculously bloated. I normally get a little bloat during a period but this was ridiculous, and 2. I love beer. I used to really be able to knock them back.  I don't drink much now because husband is kind of a teetotaler. Anyways, I drank a beer last week and it was just awful. Just that one beer made me feel sick for 3 days after. The very thought of alcohol just made me cringe. I knew then that something HAD to be up.

Hey Ladies- Ok, I went to the doc yesterday and it turns out I have a really horrible bacterial infection! He didnt even test for pregnancy, he said it sounds like infection all the way and confirmed it during my exam. Now Im on an antibiotic and I actually have to go back for a colposcopy in a few weeks to make sure there wasnt more damage done. How nuts is this!!! So glad Im not pregnant though- that was not in the cards. But thank you all so much for your responses and support!
