I was pretty sensitive to smells in the days before I tested.

Honestly, had we not been TTC then I probably wouldn’t have known for awhile, especially if I had irregular periods.  I haven’t really had any classic pregnancy symptoms.  I’m 14 weeks now and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve felt nauseous.  What I have been having are the wierd symptoms that no one ever talks about:  worsening restless leg syndrome, bleeding gums, sinus congestion (which I assume is dampening that super sense of smell I keep hearing about).  I have been craving a lot of fruit so that might have been a tip off.

I thought I was getting my period!  I had typical period cramps, typical period crankiness, and typical period bloating.

The weekend I was due for AF, I went for a run (I was marathon training at the time) and it was a drop-down mileage week- meaning the week before I had run 15 miles, and this weekend was only 13.  I felt like a BAG OF ASS the whole time.  My legs were heavy, I had a headache, my breathing, stride, gait, and footstrike were all out of sorts.  I felt like poopie-doopie.  I slept for 5 hours when I got home.  I tested the next day, BFP!

I didnt have any symptoms until around 10 or 11 weeks when I started disliking foods and having tenderness in my breasts (which was only for a couple of days).  I still only have that symptom.

When we were TTC  I was constantly thinking things were symptoms, so it is pretty funny now that I am pregnant that I have none!! All of that research and late night googling for nothing!

Cramping, constantly probably from when implantation occured all the way until my first trimester was over, actually. Nothing crazy strong or painful, but definitely there. Usually I only cramped for one day leading up to AF so I knew something was up.

Other things were heartburn, super vivid dreams and being exhausted.

Later on (around 8 weeks) there was nausea, food aversions, sensitivity to smells, even more exhausted and breast tenderness (but this didn’t last a long time, maybe a week?).

The cramping was different- more painful than my normal AF cramps.  They woke me up at night a few days leading up to when I was supposed to get my period.  I also took some midday naps, which I normally never do.  And I cried like a baby at the dumbest lifetime movie!  I never do that even when I am more emotional because of my period.

i actually starting feeling like i was getting sick – stuffy nose, etc. then i missed my period. my doctor told me that a stuffy or runny nose can be an early sign because of something to do with hormones. who knew?

I was an emotional mess 2 days before my BFP, really sad for no reason.  I thought it was PMS but didn’t have any other symptoms.

First, exhaustion!  I was so tired I would fall asleep sitting on the floor in front of the couch with the dog after work.

Second, tender and swollen boobs with prominent blue veins everywhere.

Third, constipation.  This was the clue that told me to test since we were NTNP.

I usually don’t cramp until the day before AF is due, but I had cramping early, maybe 6DPO that only lasted 2 days.  I also was having a hard time sleeping at night even though I was so tired during the day.  I tested early at 10DPO, but if I hadn’t done that, my biggest sign was that I didn’t spot at all.  I usually start spotting 10-11DPO but had none!

Horrible, intense cramping. So much that I called a nurse from work, convinced I had some dreadful growth or disease. She suggested I take a pregnancy test. Sure enough, I was pregnant. So yes, it was a growth of sorts, and my bouncing baby boy turned out to be cancer too (July baby). 🙂

Dizziness, breast tenderness, and slight headache. This was at about 9 days past ovulation, when I first tested.
