The tooth behind my canine tooth on my left side was hurting a while ago but then it stopped and I put it down to first time using an electric toothbrush and I might have brushed too hard.
Now a few weeks on it hurts whenever I put pressure on it or chew I get a dull ache not a sharp pain. Will they have to take my tooth out? I know I should have gone ages ago…
Is it a cavity? I hate the dentist!

It could just be dental sensitivity. Are you brushing and flossing regularly?
I’ve had my share of root canals, but those were hurting constantly no matter what.
The best you can do is go at your next convenience. They probably won’t have to take the whole tooth. I mean…I’ve been the dentist a LOT and that’s never been a problem for me. But since you’re feeling uncomfortable, you might as well go in and get it fixed! There’s no point in waiting, it won’t get better on its own if it’s a cavity. Until the tooth dies. Then you’ve got a window of time where you’ll feel fine and then you’ll end up back in their chair because you have pain around the clock. That’s when they root canal you. So don’t wait!

could be a cavity or could be worse sounds like you may need a root canal…don’t mean to alarm you but it sounds like what bff had and she had to have one….go see the dentist….it may be painful but if you don’t get it looked at soon it could lead to abcess and worse loss of the tooth
