What will you/did you wear while giving birth?

I know some people like at pretty disposable ones. I can’t think of what they’re called, but they get featured on the Birth Without Fear website pretty frequently.

I don’t mind a gown. I’m NOT shy!

I actually bought these from Walmart for $25 to labour in, and to have for after delivery: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/george-pajamas-small/10273110 … I will wear a tank or something underneath but it allows me easy access to breastfeed after, layer as necessary (Canadian here, it’s going to be cold! lol)  and keep me covered while walking the halls. I plan to deliver in a hospital gown though 🙂

With my first I wore the tank top I was wearing when I arrived at the hospital. After she was born I changed into a hospital t-shirt.

With my second, I started off wearing a tank top but took it of when I got in the water.

I bought a giant moo-moo looking nightgown from goodwill for like $2. I wore a sports bra and took an extra sports bra (I knew I wanted to use the tub for labor and wanted a dry one to change into).

I ended up laboring in my goodwill nightgown for a while, and after the tub I changed into my dry bra and a regular hospital gown.

Knowing me, I plan to deliver in a nursing sports bra and probably a blanket to cover my hooha for above. If I’m cold, I’ll wear the hospital gown. I thought about getting the “pretty pusher” gown, but it is a halter and that definitely will not keep me warm.

I don’t even remember…It went so fast.. but I think for most of my labour I was wearing my pj’s and t-shirt.

It wasn’t until I moved to L&D that I stripped off and got the hospital gown on. Honestly, I didn’t care what I was wearing in the moment. I could have been 100% naked and I wouldn’t have cared.

I just wore the hospital gown.  I was covered by blankets most of the day.  And, in the moment, when I was pushing, I didn’t care how I looked or what I was wearing.  Honestly, you’re in it for such a short time, it really doesn’t matter what you’re wearing.

I wore a nursing sleep bra and the hospital gown.  I brought cute pjs for after the delivery, but I had a difficult delivery/recovery and was super gross for a long time.  I wore the gown and a robe from home the entire time I was in the hospital.  I saw other moms in cute pjs, and I couldn’t even imagine feeling well enough to put real clothes on!

While you’re actually delivering it is VERY messy.  I would bring something cute for afterwards.

Hospital gown. I was covered in blankets unless someone was doing something, haha. I had some cuter pajamas for after.

I’ll wear the gown… I’d never spend money on something that’s going to get so messy. I’ll probably bring a nicer nightgown to wear after.
