Just out of curiosity, what size is your wedding? I have a range of numbers above but I’m always interested to hear about other weddings and the size and ‘feel’ of the wedding.
Please feel free to give us a description of your theme or the atmosphere of your wedding too!
I’ll start – we are aiming for about 100 people, ceremony in a United Church and the reception in a smaller, cozy hall – all oak with big picture windows which fingers crossed will look out onto the snow covered lawn.

Our wedding will be held on a working farm with the ceremony in the outdoor pavilion amongst rose bushes and the reception i n a large open barn. So excited! 🙂

I want to cap our guest list at 200 and only have like 160-170 hopefully. It’s all in one spot, a country club and the ceremony is one room, then move over for cocktail hour and reception in another room.

We held our wedding in this open garden pavilion so it had the outside feel, but inside safe from possible rain. Our wedding was also small (56 guests including the bridal party and hubby and I). I loved having a small wedding. We got to go to each of our guests and chat with them and really loved the feel of truly everyone was there because they were so close to us.
We didn’t really had a theme, but if I had to choose it would be “elegant and timeless…but super fun with lots of colors like your tripping on LSD”
Here was our venue with our “theme”

We’re inviting about 200, hoping for 160 tops. Having a church ceremony than a country club wedding that sort of has an old hollywood feel but our reception will be pretty traditional.

We havent decided on anything yet but we are hoping for a different yet still fabulous wedding. We are hoping to have no more than 50 so that we can keep it small and intimate with only our family and close friends. We also do not want a cookie cutter reception. I want something more like a party than a wedding reception. Good food, good music, dancing all night 🙂

We’re aiming for 50 guests (at 43 now, still waiting on a few procrastinators). The ceremony and reception will be outdoors at a historic home/private estate in Southern California in the evening. The theme wer’re going with is “rustic elegance”. We like nature-inspired details in a refined setting. Our colors are below:

We’ve got 68 people attending our outdoor ceremony/golf clubhouse reception (that’s including the wedding party). A few less than we were expecting, but given it’s on the long weekend, we shouldn’t have been so surprised–a lot of people had to work.

We are get married outside with about 175 guests (inviting just over 200)
We are going for simple with bright and unexpected touches… Nothing crazy though…

~100 guests, outdoor ceremony in a municipal amphitheater surrounded by trees, reception in a modern with vintage twists loft in the entertainment district downtown.

We are having an outdoor ceremony, in a garden, under a gazebo covered in flowers, on a cliff, and over looking the beach. For our reception we will be in a open-air restaurant on a giant koi pond, surrounded by gardens, waterfalls, swans, and pink flamingos. All of this will be enjoyed by the company of 13-22 guest. Pure tranquility!

- Wedding: September 2014 - Lodge
Guests: 300. We both come from a big family and our venue only seats 300 so we had to decide who to cut which was hard enough. We are making a B list though in case people can’t come so our B list guests may have an opportunity to honor us with their presence.
Our ceremony and reception are at the same location. A rustic lodge at a state park. In back there is a 2 tier deck with gazebo overlooking a river where we will be married. The reception will be in the lodge.
Our theme is rustic/ fall. Our date is Sept 27, 2014.

We had 83 people and had it on a beach front resort (www.poetscove.com). The ceremony was outside on the terrace overlooking the ocean and the reception was inside but the doors opened up onto the terrace so most people were outside for the majority of the night.

We’ll have about 40 people. The venue is a rustic/Victorian bed & breakfast on several acres with sprawling gardens. The ceremony will be outside and they have an onsite reception building that is already filled with rustic vintage decor, so we won’t have to do much decorating ourselves. I won’t see the place myself until a few days before the wedding, but the pictures I’ve seen are to die for. Instead of dancing, we’ll be having fun and games and the venue has encouraged us to make full use of the lawns for any outdoor activities we want to do.
