We are using:
For your comfort and convenience we have made the following hotel arrangements. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at a special rate for this occasion. These rates are available until September 15 by mentioning the XXX-XXXX wedding
We used:
A block of rooms has been set aside at the XXXX.
These rooms can be reserved by calling the XXXXX at (999) 999-9999 before March 19, 2010 and asking for rooms in the Bride/Groom wedding block.
Additional information for wedding guests is available at
knot website
"A block of rooms has been reserved at such-and-such hotel under the bride and groom's name. Contact info etc etc"
Lodging for the Smith-Jones wedding has been arranged at XYZ Hotel. Please contact the hotel by June 1 at (555) 555-5555 should you wish to book a room with the negotiated rate.
We used:
For our out of town guests
rooms have been held under the
Bloodgood/Halas wedding at:
Hotel #1 here Hotel #2 here
Address here Address here
Phone number here Phone number here
Please reserve your room by the fourteenth of April to receive discounted rates
For your convenience we have negotiated group rates at the hotels listed below for two nights (Friday and Saturday nights). Rooms can be reserved by calling the phone number listed before the deadline. Make sure to mention you are staying with the XXXX wedding group to receive the discounted rate.
My insert was actually just a "Please view our website for more information... www.ourwedding.com" kind of thing. On the website is where they can get the info... no annoying wording needed!
Ours say "We have set aside a block of rooms at a nearby hotel. Please ask for the xxx-xxxx Wedding Block and book by April 29th to ensure that you will get the discounted rate."
And then the name of the hotel, address, phone number, and website below.
Oh, and it's on a separate card that we sent with the invitation and it also includes directions and fun things to do if you want to stay for the weekend (like our favorite restaurants, a brewery tour, the Milwaukee Brewers game, etc.)
We included our Accomodations info on the STDs:
Accomodations
For your convenience, we have blocked rooms at XXX Hotel. Reserve your room by Month 22 and mention the Bride/Groom Wedding to receive the group rate of $100. Call (888) 123-4567. Please make your reservation at your earliest convenience to ensure room availability.
We wanted people to book early because our wedding is during leaf/apple picking season in New England so we wanted a chance to add rooms to the block if it sold out.

We're having trouble wording the hotel block info on the invite. I like phrasing that highlights that we've arranged something for their comfort as opposed to just listing 'hotel block' info in an inpersonal manner. My FH thinks I'm nuts fretting over this detail, but for some reason it matters to me tonight!
We also have limited space, so this is what we have so far:
"ACCOMMODATIONS
A WEDDING BLOCK HAS BEEN ARRANGED FOR THE SMITH/JONES WEDDING
hotel name & contact info
reserve by MM/DD/YY to receive special rate."
Something about it sounds funny to me. Will people know what "a wedding block" means? Another option: "A LIMITED NUMBER OF ROOMS ARE BEING HELD AT A SPECIAL RATE FOR THE SMITH/JONES WEDDING." Why does "ARE BEING HELD AT" sound odd to me?
The problem started because we originally had:
"ACCOMMODATIONS
THE FOLLOWING HOTEL ARRANGEMENT HAS BEEN MADE FOR YOUR STAY IN THE BAY AREA
Hotel contact info
A limited number of rooms are being held under a special rate..." But we needed to save some space so I took the last sentence out and tried to combine it with the line under accommodations. I am driving myself crazy for no reason, arent I???!!!!
