what would be your perfect day today?

Today would have been almost perfect if the baby had slept past 4am and I were on vacation at the beach, but I too am at work and it’s been too busy for me to take an afternoon pump break.  My boobies are full and about to pop but I can hang in there like 30 more minutes!

I did make the best of my very early morning wake-up… I took the baby out for a jog before the sun came up.  The little terd was passed out within 1/4 mile.  I should have turned around and gone home but by the time I got our reflective gear and headlamps and flashlight on it would have been a waste to turn back.

Can I save mine until next Sunday?

Next Sunday I will be 18.5 weeks pregnant, and I’m running a half marathon!

I would like to wake up gloriously refreshed, have a bowl of oatmeal that tastes good without adding sweetener, find a great parking space at the race site.

Then I would like to be filled with energy for the run, finish in about 2 hours with no joint pain or round ligament pain.

After, I will dine on a bunch of veggies that my husband will lovingly cook for me, and explore the area with my finisher’s medal on.

@Kandiss16:  If it could be anything I wanted….

Some literary agent would just KNOW that I’ve got a half cooked novel on the burner and doesn’t care that it isn’t finished, just wants to publish it…so I can retire from the family biz, take Mr. 99 and the 99 Boys to Oregon to live in that Victorian on the hill in Astoria I’ve been lusting after for the last six months….

Yeah, that’d be kickass…but it ain’t happening…not today anyway.

At least Mr. 99 is making meat loaf, that’s still pretty nifty.

It would be perfect if HR called me and offered me the job I interviewed for two and a half weeks ago. They’re still looking at applicants last I checked.

If that happened then DH would put some champagne on ice and we would celebrate tonight!

I would leave work, step out to 76 degree weather (currently hot as hell at 99 degrees) and head to FI and I’s own place (currently living at mom and dad’s till closer to the wedding). I’d get in jammies and sleep until 4. Wake up, get ready and go on a date with FI then to a movie.

@Kandiss16:  Oh man throw in some potato cheese soup from Pat’s Kitchen and I’m headed to Norco! I heard it was grossly humid right now though. 🙁

Let’s see my perfect day would be me pregnant (here’s hoping) lying on a blanket in a park with a book, iced tea and perhaps a snack with my pups roaming around me exploring the grass. My DH would of course have the day off as well and would be reading a book next to me. We would have absolutely nothing needing to get done and no errands to run. We would be completely without responsibility for a day.

@Kandiss16:  Thank you so very much, I’ll be sure to let the hive know when I am lucky enough to get an agent and be published…until then, that novel stays between me and my lovely muse….
