- Wedding: September 2014 - Forest and Ball Room
We are having an enchanted/fairytale wedding and I was originally going to have my dress custom made, long story short, the person doesn’t have the greatest communication skills.
Then I fell in love with a dress..which is out of my price range…go figure..
Now, I’m making it. I know, I’m crazy…I’ve heard it a couple times since I made my decision but I kinda wanted to make it anyways but backed out because of everyone’s strange fear of it looking cheap (I’ve been sewing formal dresses for 10 years now) and they never really seen my work. So I can understand some-what but at the same time it’s like COME ON!! Fiance is worried I’ll get too over-worked and stressed, so sweet huh? Anyways… ON TO THE QUESTION!!!
Again, we are having fairytale wedding. Think 6 year old (My 6 year old step daughter is my wedding planner assistant..so think literal 6 year old) Disney princess wedding. We are getting married on a stage in a garden…going to be lovely.
Geez, I type a lot. Excuse my chatty-ness. It’s late, I’ve been staring at a computer screen and I’ve had a red bull. Always a dangerous mix.
I am inspired by this dress:
I really love it, just not sure about the color…? This is my second marriage so I feel sometimes guilty wearing white. Originally I thought “SILVER” for the dress because it is different but then I think white because it is a wedding. What would Cinderella do? Oh, forgot to mention I’ll be Cinderella. I just want it to be “WOW” and “OHH”
And one more thing, in case no one has an input but is sew-savvy how would I create that sparkle? It isn’t the normal sequin and bead shimmer…how do I achieve that? TIA
