I’m 22 and pregnant with our first child! It was perfect timing for us because Darling Husband is 11 years older and we’re both finished with our bachelors degrees and settled into our careers.

Ideally I’d wait till I was somewhere between 28-30. I’m 25 now. I just started making good money in my career field and the selfish part of me that was dirt ass poor for a majority of my life wants to enjoy eating out, vacations, unnecessary wardrobe purchases and retirement contributions as long as possible. My husband is 32 and would like kids soon (his clock is ticking Smile). So, we’ve agreed on 1-2 years. I’d be lying if I haven’t been using the deadline as a reason to spoil myself a little more than usual. 🙂

If FH and I were having children, I’d say 28-30.

I want to have had my first kid or be pregnant by the time I’m 26… So 25? 🙂 Fiance wants to wait until he’s 30, which would put me at 27. I’m 22 now.

I’m 25 and my hubby is 37 so ideally (for him) we would try in the next two years. If age wasn’t a factor, my ideal time to have kids would be around 28 years old. So we are not that far off!

I would have ideally liked to have kids by 28 or 29, 30 at the latest. But, alas, it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’m 34 now and will likely be 35 by the time we’re married. Trying to have kids past 35 scares me a little because there’s so much written about it. But I just have to tell myself that there are plenty of parents in their mid-30’s with healthy children.

In a perfect world, I’d like to have a baby now and I’m 23.  In reality, I’m just starting out in my career so it’s not exactly feasible!  In some ways I wish I’d decided to leave off starting my career until after we’d started a family.

I’m 27 and could not imagine having a child at my age. I have friends that started families in their early 20’s (most with multiples by this point) and it’s totally crazy to me. Darling Husband and I are the same age so for us, 30ish is perfect.

I coulnd’t imagine having children before 30. I am currently 26 and definitely want to wait a few years before we start trying.

28-30 provided we both have stable jobs.

I have been mapping my whole life out my entire life (type A personality anyone?! lol) and I always wanted to be 27 and pregnant with my first. Everything is in order for me to do so next year (I’m 26 now)- own our own home, both have 6 years plus experience in stable and fantastic jobs, top private healthcare, we’ve got 2 trips planned next year- Japan in Feb and NZ in April all to ourselves, 14 weeks paid maternity, 6 weeks annual leave accrued, SO has a job which will pay all bills and mortgage on his own, 80K saved up just in case and in order for me to have 12 months off with LO… BUT HE’S NOT READY! Haha, I didn’t count on that one! Just shows you- you can’t plan for everyhing! So I’ll roll with it- I’ve applied for a promotion and should I get it, I would wait at least a year to start trying so I have enough experience under my belt.. and will keep on saving until he is ready. It just means we’ll be in a ridiculously good financial position and have a wonderful job to go back to 2 days a week for the pay I get now at full time after bubs arrives which can’t be such a terrible thing. Sigh. But don’t you just hate baby fever?!
