@krex:  What about buying large white doilies, and then dying them using tea, to make them look antiqued/brown? 🙂

You can also buy a lace border punch (Martha Stewark has a line) and punch out the borders of kraft paper to creat a doilie effect. The nice thing is that there’s more variety for lace patterns that way.

You can also buy lace fabric and cut it into circles to use underneath.
I think they might even sell pre-cut lace circles to wrap favors in (think party store)

My last suggestion would be to make “cut rounds” out of something dimensional, like foam core. Paint it a light brown, paint the edges dark brown, and then draw the circles in by hand. This would be the kitchy-est option of my three, but possibly cute. 🙂

Maybe something like this burlap doily(which would prob be pretty easy to make)
