Weddingbee boards

So FI and I are entered to win a free engagement session, on a blog contest.  I've noticed though that the voting doesn't seem to match up with the number of people who have said they have voted for us.  When I checked on the blog, sure enough, when you click on our names it immediately takes you to a "about the photographer" page, and does not cast the vote.  You then have to click back, and then click on "vote" to cast the vote. I'm sure tons of people today, for all of the contestants, thought they were voting, but actually were just getting redirected as an error on the blog's voting mechanism. So many people didn't get their votes in, and each contestant doesn't really have a fair showing of votes.  One couple definitely figured it out today, as their votes skyrocketed to almost half the votes by the end of the night. Since we've figured it out too, it's evening out again, to where we're up to about 20% of the votes.  I have a bit of a competitive streak, so I want to win, but really I feel badly for the couples who aren't getting the proper vote counts.

In all fairness, we don't need this engagement session. We actually get one with our photographer's package, but I thought it would be fun to to win one anyway and the photographer is one of my bridesmaids wedding photog. But now I just feel bad since it just seems like a contest of who can figure out the voting glitch and work around it - not actually the couple with the most votes.

I emailed the photographer to let her know, but I don't know if there's anything else I can do at this point?

There really isn't a way that I can contact them,  it's through her facebook page originally, which is set up as a business page, and you can't see others that like it.  I would have to use some serious detective skills to figure out who the other couples are!!  I am hoping she will fix it tomorrow, and even though it would stink to reset all the votes, I think it's the only fair way to continue.  If she doesn't, I will probably have her remove us from the contest, I just don't feel right with it the way it is.

@tksjewelry:  Aw, thanks!  I clearly am losing sleep over this (or could it be the caffeine at 6pm this evening...) and it's not sitting right with me.  I think it's the first blog contest this photographer has ever done (she is fairly knew, getting her business off the ground!) so I want to have hope that she will do everything in her power to set it straight.  It's only been one day of voting, and I'm sure we could get everyone who voted already to vote again - that's the glory of social networks, right?
