Is there any way you can alter it a little or add a sash to make it different? It’s probably not a big deal though…

I say wear it!

After I got engaged I stumbled upon my wedding dress and fell absolutely in love!! The next weekend, Dh (FI at the time) travel to his cousin’s wedding and the bride is wearing the dress I just bought!!! My heart literally sank as soon as I saw it!!!

I was so stressed over it for months wondering if I should try to exchange it for something else or just buy a different dress altogether. But I eventually realised that every bride is different, has a different personality and will wear their dress in their own unique way. I wore the dress so proudly, even with the bride there (and several guests were at both of the weddings). I honestly don’t even know how many noticed and on the day of it didn’t even cross my mind!!

I say rock whichever dress you fell in love with. You fell in love with it for a reason and it is such a great deal!!

Best of luck ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA: I really understand exactly how you are feeling. I literally did cry when I got home after the wedding when I told my mom about it. I am sure this happens situation more than we ever think it will, but I no matter which dress you wind up wearing you will have a wonderful wedding day.

I’m sure it’s going to look different on you, with your accessories, body type, etc.  I wouldn’t fret!

It shouldnt matter, I know if one of my friends had worn the same dress It would bug me. But if my FI’s best mans wife wore it it wouldnt bother me. There are only so many wedding dresses right? Id say get the dress. If you love it you love it!

Wear some different accessories and rock it. Unless it is super distinctive I doubt people will notice.

Also, maybe you could consider doing something to alter a feature of the dress? Like maybe change the neckline a little, add a cap sleeve, or something along those lines. If the dress is perfect don’t change it but if there’s something you could add to make it your own that might make you feel a little better about it.

Wear it anyway. If you didn’t go to that wedding, then you have plausible deniability.

Rock it! Chances are no one but the BM’s wife will notice. And you can always accesorize and wear your hair differently than she did.

No one will know, the same dress looks soooo different on different people. Don’t let this ruin your love of a gorgeous dress for a fantastic price!

I’d still wear it! I’d avoid wearing the same dress as a friend of mine if she wore it the same year, but your FI’s Best Man’s wife sounds like someone you may not be super close with and I really think it’s fine.
