- Wedding: June 2012
i want to first start off with saying that I have never liked how my hair has been done for a formal occassion. That being said, I am super crazy nervous about my hair for the wedding and I really want to actually love my hair for a day.
So anyway, I had just recently had my hair trial with the girl who was doing my hair for my wedding day. This girl is a beautician who is a close friend of my sister, the Maid/Matron of Honor. After it took her two hours to do simple curls and pull my hair half up, it was just OK. It was nothing like the inspiration picture I showed her (And I know that it is never going to look exactly the same, but it should at least look similar!). I told her that it was OK, and I made it obvious that I wasn’t happy with it but that it was just blah. I told her that I wanted the top of my hair changed some but she didn’t have time to fix/change it because she had to leave. Now I regret not telling her that I absolutely hated it, but I always feel badly and am afraid to hurt other’s feelings. This is my wedding hair and I KNOW that if I let her do my hair for my wedding I will not be happy with it.
Also, we are having the wedding two hours away and she doesn’t have a car and swears that she will take the bus and make it on time. I am really afraid of this because she does not seem to be very professional. She never answers my calls in a timely manner and she showed up an hour late to the hair trial appointment (It was at my house and she had her mom drop her off!)
I have found a hair dresser that is right around the corner from where we will be staying for the ceremony and they said they will gladly do all of our hair on the day of, even with short notice and for the same price as the other girl including a hair trial!
I Know that I want to cancel my original hair dresser but I don’t know what to say without sounding mean or crazy or upsetting her on losing out on a good amount of money.
Any advice from any of the wise Bees?
