I voted for all of them… I ended up buying a new dress and jewelry, but I wore a used veil and very lightly used shoes and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I draw the line at underwear/lingerie, but something like a dress, which you wear over undergarments, I think it’s a great way to save money.

I voted for veil, jewelry, & headpiece…but I would only wear “used” items if they were coming from someone who I love and wanted to incorporate them on my day…ie, grandmother’s veil, mother’s jewelry…but I also think I’d have to 100000000% love the item. I’m very big on having my own, I don’t think I’d borrow anything unless it was of serious sentimental value.

ETA- I’d never wear anyone else’s shoes or dress. Sharing shoes grosses me out big time.

I voted all! I got a steal on a Monique Lhuillier dress used, so obviously I’d wear a used dress! I have expensive taste and none of the less expensive dresses I tried on really did anything for me. I have no qualms about wearing any of the other items used either, I figure if you can get something twice as nice/expensive for less $$ because someone wore it for a few hours, that’s fine with me!!

I would and am using some used jewelry for my look. I wouldn’t do a dress though because I am superstitious about them. Silly, but I’m the kind of person who knocks wood and won’t split the pole when walking with someone, too.

I voted for all except shoes… but I would even consider that I suppose!

@LBalazi:  I spent $70 on once-worn Badgley Mischka Randalls that were originally $200. I couldn’t find anything else similar that I liked, and they’re silver so I’ll probably wear them again, so I thought it was a fairly good deal 🙂

I think it totally depends on the original cost of the shoes… If I found a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choos that were originally $500, and were very lightly worn, I might even spend $150 on them…But I generally stick to my guns and don’t buy any shoes more than $100, except boots.

    jewelry, headpiece & shoes.

I’m not wearing a veil so thats out of the question, and I don’t think i’d want a used dress – i plan to get a huge frame and hang my dress in the frame, so I want to be the only user of my dress 😀

The only things I PERSONALLY wouldn’t wear used were the dress and shoes.  I think shoes are obvious when they’re worn before and I just really wanted a new dress, though I completely understand why people get them used!

My veil was mother’s so I technically wore a used veil and I borrowed my mother’s bracelet.

I would pretty much wear anything used except stockings, bra and panties. I’m kind of used to it because I am a big fan of vintage, and, well, it’s really hard to find vintage things that haven’t ever been worn.

I bought my veil, some of my jewelry, and hair clips used at a bridal consignment store. The store had a great selection and was way below retail price. I definitely recommend checking out consignment stores for these things especially since you’ll wear these things only for one day.

because I waitied 54 years to do this, I bought everything, except some of my jewelry; I wore a pair of earrings my sister gave me on my 50th birthday, and my grandmother’s engagment/wedding/surround ring

I would wear anything but shoes. That’s kinda gross IMO, but I would have tried to get my dress used if it were an older dress; I couldn’t find one. I probably will end up borrowing jewelry and just getting a new veil though
