I'd like to think mine matches my style:
Cushion-Cut Engagement Ring
Your style: You take your cues from the Grace Kellys of the world — legendary women who demand to be set apart.
Your relationship: He lets you be ... well, you.
Your wedding: So elegant and timeless that no one will be able to date the wedding photos afterward.
Boo, my cut isn't on there. I'll use the Emerald one. The dance floor part is very true.
Your style: Sophisticated socialite — aka uptown girl.
Your relationship: You're the girl of his dreams and he's totally in awe.
Your wedding: Voted "can't miss" event of the season (and not just by your mom). Destined to be the party where everyone hits the dance floor.
Round
Your Style: Traditional. You always look utterly put together.
Your relationship: Bottom line: you're marrying your best friends. Here's to a lifetime of sharing inside jokes and having someone really get you.
I think it definitely describes me when it says traditional but my ring is also a little non-traditional because it is a sapphire center stone with a diamond halo. I guess maybe it's just a fun spin on a traditional ring? :)
Cushion here as well, I definitely think it fits! :)
What your ring doesn't say about you...size!
Ok - just wanted to put that out there. Too often I see catty women (not here of course!) that think the bigger the diamond the more worth they have as people.
"I DESERVE this carat weight"
"I should have a bigger one, all my friends do."
"Is my diamond too small?"
I want to slap these people!
Good article though!
Princess Engagement Ring
Your style: Lover of all things sparkly.
Your relationship: He treats you like a … yep, total princess.
Your wedding: You may or may not arrive by horse-drawn carriage, opt for the biggest ball gown or sport the tallest tiara — but you're bound to have a royal blast.
ROFL omg this is perfect! He does treat me like a total princess. He calls me his princess all the time and tries his best (on our limited budget) to give me everything I want. And... I will be getting married in my princess ballgown dress in Disney World, where every girl is a princess.
Round Engagement Ring
Your style: Traditional. You always look utterly put together.
Your relationship: Bottom line: you're marrying your best friend. Here's to a lifetime of sharing inside jokes and having someone really get you.
Your wedding: Relaxed, romantic and unfussy. It takes a lot of planning to make things look this effortless, but you'll pull it off.
Wow. That's pretty accurate.
Round diamond. I think it's spot on - I am marrying my best friend!
hm. i wouldn't describe myself as over the top. but then these things are usually a load of crap. the rest (except the "no detail will be overlooked" part...i'm really not that anal!) seems pretty accurate. but they always try to write these things so people will say "OMG that's so true!!!!" lol
Oval Engagement Ring
Your style: In a word (okay three): Over the top. Your relationship: Together you are more than the sum of your parts. Your wedding: Colorful and cool, with a very polished edge. No detail will be overlooked.
besides, there's more to a ring than just the shape of the center stone, IF there's a stone in the center at all.

WOW...some things are SOO true- no tiara for this bee but i will be having a goregous ball gown and a all out blast the day of!
It doesn't have an option for no engagement ring, so I'd say mine doesn't match.

The only thing that fits is how my FI treats me lol I HATE SPARKLY THINGS and want an elegant simple wedding.
I don't have my Moissy yet, but both the one I chose and my original pearl e-ring are round, so...

Ring by Diamond Ideals
So spot on!! I'm all about traditional, classic style and our basic goal with the wedding is for a relaxed, romantic event that's more fun than anything else. Thanks for posting this.
I have a princess cut solitare and I can honestly say that it's not at all true. My husband treats me like gold, but not necessarily like a "princess". To me the word princess has a pretty negative conotation though. I also am not a sparkly girly girl and chose a fit and flare, not a ballgown.
@blingbling: the only saprkly thing I wanted was my engagement ring lol and I agree with @kate169...when I think of princess I think of those annoying girls on reality shows that refuse to use a toilet that isn’t made of gold and I wanna hit.

Love it. Especially the part about marrying my true best freind. I know its general enough to apply to everyone but I still think its fun.
Marquise
Your style: Old Hollywood (think: silver screen siren).
Your relationship: He puts you on a pedestal and lets you shine. But he's not afraid to help you laugh at yourself when you get too big for your britches.
Your wedding: Pure glamour. You'll create an enchanted atmosphere that wedding guests will never forget.
Pretty close, I'm a lover of all things 'old' although usually older than Hollywood, lol, the relationship is pretty true as well but it goes both ways. We generally support each other in following our dreams but we're not afraid to laugh at ourselves when things don't go according to plan. As far as the wedding uhh I don't know if 'glamour' is the word for what I want, when I think glamour I think glitzy and that's sort of the opposite of what I'm going for...more of romantic.

@GroovyHippieChick: I was just about to say the same thing :)

LOL, no. No no no no. I am funky and modern, and while DH compliments me up the wazoo, I am definitely not on a pedestal. Our wedding was beautiful, but I wouldn't use the words "glamorous" or "enchanted".
Of course, I have a coloured gem instead of a diamond, so I guess I just throw off their whole system with that ;)

HAHA... he usually lets me be me... I'm an only child so when I'm dead set on something... he usually gives up.
Round Engagement Ring
Your style: Traditional. You always look utterly put together. I wish! Haha, but it's really not true at all.
Your relationship: Bottom line: you're marrying your best friend. Here's to a lifetime of sharing inside jokes and having someone really get you. I hope this is true for everyone regardless of stone shape!
Your wedding: Relaxed, romantic and unfussy. It takes a lot of planning to make things look this effortless, but you'll pull it off. The first part is right, the second part is way off. It really WILL be relaxed and unfussy, not just appear to be!
(Round)
The description is surprisingly acurate, all but that last line. Since the hubs picked it, I think it says more about his personality/preference than mine though! Things like this tend to be like horoscopes- they tend to fit everyone somewhat (or what they want to see themselves as anyway), but never fit anyone perfectly.

I do have a larger Ball Gown-ish dress, but I wouldn't say that I'm princess-like just because I wanted a Princess cut diamond. I'm an engineer and lets just face it, I like right angles. The look (right angles) of my ring reflects who I am, not the name ("princess").

The relationship part is accurate. the "put together" part made me LOL.
I have a classic round solitaire:
Your style: Traditional. You always look utterly put together. (I like traditional, but I am definitely not always put together lol)Your relationship: Bottom line: you're marrying your best friend. Here's to a lifetime of sharing inside jokes and having someone really get you. (This is pretty true)Your wedding: Relaxed, romantic and unfussy. It takes a lot of planning to make things look this effortless, but you'll pull it off. (My wedding is pretty relaxed and unfussy but while it has a sort of "just thrown together" kind of style, it was a LOT of work to put together lmao!)

I found this article on my msn homepage today, I thought it was fun. Does your ring match the description in the article? http://living.msn.com/love-relationships/weddings/what-your-engagement-ring-says-about-you
