Whoa! And I thought Vera Wang was pricey =]

Not my style...but almost $30K for a dress?! Nobody here should feel bad about their dresses ever again! lol

Definitely not my style or taste.  I hope she didn't buy it thinking she needed to resell it to afford it, because I think she's going to be short on buyers.

Holy crap, Wayne Newton was at her wedding?!  Totally epic.  It should resell simply because Wayne stood so close to it (see the pics she posted at preownedweddingdresses.com).  :P  But seriously.  Not cute.

I think shes spot on for an over the top gown, but does the corset lacing bother anyone else? It looks pretty flipping cheap for a $30K gown! Shoe laces?

    What I could do w/ $30k... insanity.

Uuuum, that's a bit too much for me!  If looks like it weighs way to much for me to wear all night, I hope she had a reception dress.  I don't even think I could spend 1/3 of that price even on a dress I love love LOVED.  Of course, the fact that we just don't have it like that does play a factor in that thought process.

How does she sit in that?  It looks like she would sit and the dress is soo big it would tip her sideways!  Lol, the back of that dress is just WAY too poofy for me!

I acually love the color and the patterning in the embroidery (like the floral part of the skirt). I am not a fan of off the shoulder straps because I look like a linebacker, and I personally don't do pickup skirts, but I think without the extra stuff, the base of that dress is gorgeous. It is also really flattering on her. So, not my style, but hey, it's her $29k!

And yeah I'll be the first to say it -- I'm jealous! I could replace my 1997 Cavalier with that kind of money. Or, you know, put a down payment on a house. So I'm not going to knock the dress just because it is so expensive.

(And while I don't think the original post or point of this thread was to do so, there are some snarky comments here. I would feel badly if I were this bride and found this post, which, if she uses preownedweddingdress.com, is not entirely impossible.)

Oh lord. That is one ugly dress. It looks like they stitched two together. Plus it adds about 100lbs to her frame! In the photo from behind she looks like a bigger girl, when obviously from the front (and her ad) she's a teeny tiny thing. Not worth the price tag in my books on all counts!

Although I agree, she looks thrilled and that's all that matters! You can't please everyone and I'm sure not everyone will love my dress at the wedding ;)

People with this kind of money to spend don't really care what us "normal" people think, especially in regards to fashion =]. I'm sure it's very en vogue for France or something (considering it was a french designer).

I really dig her hairstyle though. That is steal-worthy.

If she really wears a street size 4 like the ad says, it's super unflattering, I would have guessed she was at least a 10 by those photos.

Blegh. I'd be fine with the dress just looking at it from the front, where it flatters her, but then you get the back shot and the skirt combined with that veil instantly give her a cupcake look. It reminds me of this:
